Nah, in all seriousness, the lore of it is super cute. Gimme a sec to pull it up. The manaphy movie was my favorite Pokemon movie as a kid, but I don't remember all the details off the top of my head

Ugh. I'm not finding a dedicated article based on the lore, so imma try to pull up 20 year old memories. Basically manaphy and phione are sea guardians. They're based off of sea butterflies or cliones also called sea angels. Manaphy is referred to as the prince in the movie iirc. And it's his job to protect all ocean life. Both Pokemon are incredibly friendly and get along with all Pokemon and humans alike. They are docile by nature, and only want to make the ocean a safe place for all living things.

Manaphy is the only mythical Pokemon that can be bred, and phione comes from that. They're basically manaphys happy little helpers.

They even stand up against Kyogre and Lugia

So there are major catches, here. Edit in some sort of pokemon game, after grinding to get BPs at the battle tower or something, transfer the pokemon over, edit your boxes if you have limited space (more space = more money), and battle. Return them to Home after.

I wouldn't worry too much! Earlier pokemon games are generally structured the same. (They only really started getting quirky on the switch). Gold is much simpler than black, but very charming, and has a pretty solid storyline imo. It's not as fleshed out as later gens, but I really enjoy it. I play heartgold, though, so it might not be the exact same as what you'll experience.

Thats Pokémon Unite, a spin off that has been around for a while. Its fun, but can be frustrating after a while when you play ranked. It's very different from the other games. It's still a good game

Sylveon is lk a tank when it comes to fighting the bosses. I do get absolutely destroyed by any Snorlax though

Snorlax is really good right now with the recent buffs. I've been hearing that as of late, Sylveon actually has the lowest win rate right now. Which is surprising considering how easy it is to play. Which sucks cuz Sylveon is not terrible😭

I haven't lost a single game since starting, so I guess other Sylveon players are just not using it to their advantage. It's not able to hold its own against tanks, and is very much for going through the middle and taking out wild Pokemon to score as much as possible.

It's also got a pretty fast moveset, which means it can cover other players while they score. It's not really built for 1v1 though, despite it being called an attacker type.

That is true! I do think the biggest issue Sylveon has is that it doesn't really have any secure on objectives. Especially during the final stretch, it can be difficult. Not too mention when there's so much stuns in the game, like with the newer releases.

I do like running Curse Incense on my Mystical Fire + Draining Kiss build because it does help prevent tanks and support from getting proper healing, I've seen people play tank items on Sylveon too in some match ups

I should mention if you didn't know how megas work in Unite, Pokémon can Mega Evolve by using their Unite once it's charged (no, unlike the games, its not a one time thing, you can use it throughout the match) but be aware that they'll be fixed to only having one moveset. In Mega Lucario's case, he will only be able to use Power Up Punch + Close Combat. Hope this helps!
