Maybe it's user error or something in my settings but last night, I wasn't able to play some things correctly

Nope, floating ingredients is quite the common issue

Hi there, can you guide me through - Did you played in singleplayer, or multiplayer session? Where did this thing happened - during the assembly, or after it? We're investigating this issue on our end and would love to know as much as possible - Or if you have VOD of that - send it to me please 🙂

Can you confirm, that you're using the radeon graphics, right?

Correct

Ok, we're investigating the issue with this, we identified it so far, and we'll do our best to as soon as possible get a fix for it

#

Okay, thanks a lot. Is there a workaround yet?

I also have some floating after plating but I'm using Nvidia GeForce - I don't think it's caused by graphics card manufacturer;p

RTX4080 and same problem

#

It looks like math calculations of deforming mesh causes some distant points

#

Some times visible sometimes dont

#

And the upper objects just stuck on top of those points

Potential solution: Each subsequent layer, depending on its weight and the layers below it, can be placed at any height, provided that its lower surface trim or bend all layers below, eliminating any incorrectly protruding lower components. Alternatively, the clipping/deforming should be performed using non-rendered surface intended solely for math calculations. This will not only minimize the glitch but also make the vertical structures appear natural.

Workaround that worked for me :

As of now the temporary solution is to is to launch the game in dx11 - simply right click on the game, go into properties, and in launch options paste

-force-d3d11

If dx11 don't make problems maybe data synchronisation is the issue
D3D12_RESOURCE_BARRIER barrier = {};
barrier.Type = D3D12_RESOURCE_BARRIER_TYPE_TRANSITION;

#

Or maybe the issue is due to very small coefficients in math. They just need to debug accuratly. This is easily reproductive Glitch

#

Eventually final vertex position can be clamp

#

I would also check if there are any uninitilized data/variables Dx12 isnt very friendly on this field

I feel like I have this problem sometimes as well where the food doesnt plate correctly. When I assemble a hamburger with the required toppings in the recipe it doesnt go on top instead it just falls onto the plate in the edge. Dont know if others have the same issue but that's what happens to me

#

I think i'm going to try using dx11 as well

#

And I genuinely do hope they fix this in the hotfix #2 when it releases.

#

I know and I've seen that this game has a lot of potential but if they could fix that issue would be much appreciated!

let us know, please, if today's patch helped with this "crazy ingredients" issue

It seems that vertex glitch are no longer common when arranging layers.
However, the algorithm itself should be modified, as achieving a tomato or roll that floats slightly in the air is simple to achieve.
Simply place several layers of thinly sliced onions, for example, on top of the slightly bent lower layers, so that they are arranged vertically.
Then, placing something flat on top creates empty space because the upper layer rests on the upper point or some invisible small area (e.g., a tomato can deform nicely at this point and hang in the air).
It would be advisable to allow the upper layers (by pressing them down) to slide down the lower layers (to flatten the whole meal).

For me I agree with most of that observation. What I'm seeing is that certain items, Tbones, and burger patties especially it does not matter what order you place them they will always levitate over the plate. But tomato slices and tuna steaks are more relative to what's under them.

Tuna steaks will always rest on the plate properly if placed first, but if anything is placed before them they will levitate.

I haven't experimented with tomato slices much to see if they work correctly when placed on an empty plate but they do seem at least relative to other similar objects such as the patties.

I also have a Radeon card, it seems that is a key factor in what is causing the issue from reading these threads

I removed the temp fix to see if it stopped, it has for me, but it is now floating others ingredients... Correction, it is now floating for me again

somebody else had the same issue when they used the same save

#

because if u dont start a new save then well yeah ur just stuck with the same issue
