#looking for a mouse for 19x10 hands and my grip (relaxed claw?)
79 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
looks more like ftip to me
very little palm contact if any
also it's not what grip you grip a specific mouse with that matters
it's what you prefer
Real and true
I’m just looking for other options bc sometimes my hand cramps and that is no bueno
not surprised, GPX is big
Cramping is worse on smaller mice if I recall
weh!
Haven’t used one in a min
you need to use them and tell me what youd change shape wise
measure the grip widths youd find ideal between thumb and ring/pink as well as height
for me that's 35, 45 for width and 20 or so for height, 6mm for button height, 15 degree button slope, length as low as i can get it
Time to whip out ye olde finalmouse when I get home then 🤢
The issue for me is I don’t even know what I would want lmao
that's why you should try to measure it
find a natural resting grip on your desk
measure the peak height for the hump and the position (for ftip this doesnt matter, should be as low a possible to give you space but tall enough to grip)
Ngl it could be that the gpx forces me into the weird fingertip grip
I’ll have to see when I’m home tho
gpx is a potato afaik
Not wrong tbh
looks like it's too long for you
forcing you to grip at the top while remaining comfy
common
huh
i guess a fingertip mouse would work actually
looks like you dont have side button reach
Yeah that’s a big reason why my thumb is there
It could also be a mechanics thing bc I hold my mouse kind of sideways
it's you needing to for it to be comfortable for you ig?
but yeah you need the measurements to find out what you want
I’ll test out my finalmouse when I’m home to see how it works. Idk if this is even right but a mouse that is shorter than the gpx and has the bump less in the middle and more towards the back could be goated
that's my assumption
and that's what fingertip mice are
I see I see (I did not know that!!!!)
https://www.eloshapes.com/mouse/compare?p=Keychron-M4-vs.-G-Wolves-HSK-Pro-Ace-vs.-G-Wolves-HSK-vs.-G-Wolves-HSK-Plus-vs.-Darmoshark-M5-vs.-G-Wolves-HTR-8K
here's a list of every mass manu ftip shape off the top of my head
HSK Pro Ace/4K is the smallest
Yeah I’m looking at that rn lmao
M5 is a normal mouse cut in half which is weird because it's really tall i think
not that ive used it but i like it looooww
cant comment on the other two
the M4's large top fillet and lowest price probably makes it the best option
Hmmm interesting. Price really isn’t an issue for me but maybe I’ll cop one for testing
I feel like those would be wayyyyyy too short though no?
why do you need length
ftip RoM baby
You make a good point lmao
I'd go for the keychron of the 3 main ones anyway
g wolves and darmo are a bit iffy
I would just be worried about my pinky not being where it’s supposed to be
Yeah keychron is a good brand
and where is that
It sits a little further back than my thumb
i personally want this kind of shape
I'll make it eventually i swear
pinky needs more width than the ring
try to find info on returns
so you can try and return it if you don't like it
because i am biased towards ftip and narrow grip widths and such
I was checking my microcenter but they ain’t got the keychron mice only the boards 😭
it does objectively increase RoM but there's other factors most importantly comfort
keychron m4 is basically only sold on their official site afaik
it's not a high volume product
I'd still check for more info though..
I alr got it if it ain’t work it ain’t work
Time will tell
Thanks for the help tho I’ll let you know how it goes
if you ever want odd measurement information, ergonomics explanations or details on how to mod switches for low actuation I'm here
For sure bro
It's a decent mouse
yeah im excited for it to arrive. I bought myself a keychron board for the office and its very nice. gf also likes hers
hers is nicer than mine tho lmfao
I have recieved it
feels super nice but a little back heavy
feels so weird holding a mouse not towards the back
i'm happy that you're happy
I REALLY like how it flares out towards the back. perfect for my grip.
