I understand that part, and that may be true with the amount of complaining that people have been doing over the past couple of years

But it seem like you misunderstood the situation. Yes, the guy I was helping out was complaining about the limit being what it was but I was trying to help him get it down below 10 MB which ended up working now he’s happy.

And yes, PC players are more advanced than quest players but

Off topic yall but I have a person that I commission for saying they got banned cause of bloodborne Which I don’t think is the case cause I’m not banned been using blood borne for a minute now so y’all have any ideas of how they could’ve been banned it says malicious and illegal

Is most likely that they probably did something to someone and they reported it because I don’t think that VR chat would just ban you for malicious content

If you was using a mod, SDK was probably most likely ripping avatars or using clients

There was a huge band wave a few months ago, and people thought that it was blood-borne banning people, but it was VR chat banning a whole bunch of rippers

This sounds like they was using a client that they installed into the VR chat to do something

From my knowledge VRChat only does give you a temp ban (a month or so) and removed your uploaded Avis from your account aka resets it

This right over here was the message that was sent to everyone in the VR chat server telling people that they banned a lot of people for avatar ripping they’re also reasons at the bottom for what they didn’t ban people for

I’m trying to do a commission for somebody and I’m using unity, 2022.3.40 F1 and for some reason it only shows it on the website for them, and if they switch into it on the website, it’s a robot in game I even tried it with my account and it did the same thing but when I use the old unity 2019 it doesn’t do it. I don’t know if I’m using a unity that’s wrong but it’s doing it anybody have any idea of what I can do to fix this

About a few years ago, they used to be people that have something known as clients wishes mods for VR chat for a PC that allowed for hacking and a lot of other not so great stuff but it did also allow people to do things that would help out disabled people or whatever else

But the VR chat got rid of it all because it was affecting the game to point that there was hackers everywhere. Honestly, it was one of the greatest updates that they ever had getting rid of all of that.

Not at all probably won’t be for a very long time since VR chat put a security check inside of their upload system that detect if your avatar is above the limit and automatically turns it into a robot

compress textures bring them down to lower MB

you can also download build size viewer to see what’s making your avatar such a big download size

what i do is, Turn mip maps off, lower the res of the textures to 1024 for PC and 512 For Quest and turn compression on

It’s the avatar! Vrchat has been buckling down on sizes n such so if quest size is 500 or above it’s going to fail you need to have the creator fix it to scale it down properly removing things does not work

I figured this out already! ( and since I made the avatar I was the only one who could fix it 😭 )
Removing things and crunching textures was what solved it.

And this was a LONG time ago holy moly just realized I was replying in bloodborne 🫡

You need to optimize the avatar and make it go below 10 MB, since VRC now has server-side security checks that prevent avatars from loading if they're above 10 MB.
