💯 agreed, and to add on to that, make a Season character regardless of what your last character(s) progression was.
Season has changed a lot since the time you left, and it will help you get back into the swing of things so that you can start remembering old goals (or start throwing them out the window since most of those goals likely no longer apply)
But really, we could dissect every single item here and it would not help as much as YOU understanding the value of things. The only way to do this is to play the game so that you can see how much or little anything means now vs then.
No guide exists that is 100% up to date on every single thing you will need to know or do. Because the game changes every other week (and every week on PC). And yes, it has changed tons in the past 3 years, which you're able to see all patch notes for in the below link

For deep dives on stuff like Lifeskilling, PVE, overall gear progression, or how certain things work, we're more than happy to either help or point to those guides (many of which are on Black Desert Foundry and Garmoth).
But BDO is not a linear experience, so there is no A to Z. This can feel overwhelming for newcomers and returning players, but it's as simple as playing the game: the main story questline will reintroduce you to all of the key parts of the game progressively so that you are less overwhelmed than looking up random terms you will not understand or have forgotten since last playing. And afterwards, you can decide for yourself what you want to get into first and are more than welcome to seek out further advice in this Discord whenever you're ready
