Are you safely disconnecting in the menu before you close app? That was the main cause of this issue in the past

People just close the app while logged in, and it just yeets their settings

i have always had this issue as well, safe disconnect didn't solve it.
everytime i start the game or swap character/server i need to set Chat English -> International, otherwise i don't see most messages
