Archer help

Started an Archer for my Season Character, and I'm having a tough time activating the healing affect for Breath of the Spirit. Does anyone know if this is bugged? Or am I just doing something wrong?

Put the skill (green one) I forgot the name lol on your hotbar, when you use it you want to aim down on the ground near you
