It could cost from pretty cheap if you stay at hostels and net cafes, to very expensive.
it really just depends how much you want to spend
but a common number I see get thrown around here, is that for daily spending, 10,000 yen a day is generally safe?
Yeah, that's enough for food, transport and admission fees
Hostels are a good option too, typically around 3000~ yen per night per person
Business hotels (3 or 4 stars) can be between 15k-60k per night for a double room
I heard anime figures & manga are cheaper in smaller cities unlike Shibuya, is that true?
well.. Shibuya is not really a city
I've never bought any anime figures in Shibuya, just go to Akihabara and Nakano Broadway
should be able to find ones not as expensive still in Tokyo
ik. but i heard in tokyo is everything more expensive since most ppl visit it
There's plenty of shops that sell pre-owned figures and books, you can get them for cheap
ehhhhhh
not necessarily
maybe it could be a BIT cheaper elsewhere but there are still deals to be found in Tokyo
it be a big city
👍👍
are you living in japan or r u just visiting it sometimes?
I also don't really partake in animes and figures so much lol
What would you recommend for getting around there? The traffic there is completely different than where I live in Germany.
should i rent a car or just walk around
Trains
is there like a ticket i can buy once for an entire week?
No need to rent a car if you are only staying in big cities
uhhhhhh
idk tbh I just buy as I go

Fill it up as you go.
thats what i was looking for thank you!!
do you know if theres like a way to "exchange" my money from € to ¥? i got a visa but not every shop is accepting credit cards as far as i know.
best way to do it is just to withdraw from 7-eleven ATMs while in Japan
Well I've used this : https://wise.com/
to exchange in advance and then just withdraw from above mentioned 7-11 ATM's.
You can also just do it with your current card, but it probably costs bit more depending on fees and exchange rate at the time.
@cedar vale I will answer your DM question here so others can add their suggestions as well
Here are some hotels you can consider
ofc!
These are affordable 3-star hotels
why r they so expensive
im barely there 😭
It's Tokyo lol
YEAH BUT STILL
I've picked these ones specifically for their proximity to Akihabara to make your shopping trips easier
mb
omg that makes sense
didnt think of that
Tell us your budget then maybe we can help find something that fits it
i dont really have a limit but i thought it would be cheaper since i just sleep there
Akihabara will probably have decently high demane
demand
could find a bit better in other areas
The prices I'm seeing from these are pretty decent tho
I think Ikebukuro SOMETIMES is a little better
does akihabara have a shopping centre?
cuz ive seen huge shopping centres on tiktok
always wanted to visit sum
I don't really know how to answer that
Akihabara is one big shopping centre to me lmao
I guess Yodobashi Camera counts?
Tokyo’s Largest Tech Shop | Yodobashi Camera Akihabara Shop Inside Tour | ヨドバシ カメラ 秋葉原店

If those hotels are expensive for you, then you're better off staying at a hostel
no theyre alright dw
i dont know what i thought
here in germany 1 night also costs like 120€
Do keep in mind hotel prices fluctuate
It's currently a peak season so they might be showing you higher prices at the moment
ima book for next year anyway
so itll be a lot cheaper
