#Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord (Xbox/Game Pass) - Game fails to launch after clicking "PLAY"

I am trying to play Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord via GeForce Now using the Xbox (Game Pass) platform.

The Issue: The TaleWorlds launcher opens correctly. However, after I verify the mod load order (Native, Sandbox, etc.) and click the "PLAY" button, the game fails to start. The launcher closes, but the actual game window never appears, and the session eventually ends or hangs.

Has anyone encountered this issue or knows a workaround? Thanks in advance.

since mods are not officially supported by NVIDIA on that game, there's no much you can do other than playing without them in the meantime
any game update could fix it or not at all, as isn't an essential part nor the focus of NVIDIA to maintain

this applies for all games, including those with Steam Workshop or a built-in mod manager (Bethesda titles, Project Zomboid, ARK)
games officially supporting modding are WoW and Baldur's Gate 3

Apologies for the confusion. To be clear: I have not manually installed or subscribed to any mods.

I was simply checking the load order of the default game modules (Native, Sandbox, StoryMode, etc.) in the launcher.

When the GeForce Now session started. I am just trying to launch the vanilla (base) game without issues, but when I click Play, the launcher closes, but then absolutely nothing happens. The game window never appears on my screen.

oh, if that's the case, then your only shoot is contact NVIDIA Support
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/support/consumer
scroll down and you'll see a Live Chat and Ask us a Question button

OS you play, device you play, server location and subscription tier are good information to attach, as well as videos or screenshots so they can have context of the situation

Xbox usually takes a little longer to update if the game received one recently (up to 72 hours, as their policy says) Steam is always updated first and faster
