Fps drops in game

Since the last fortnite update (new season) i can barely play in free plan.
Fps dropping a lot from a costant 60 to even 2 fps.
I didnt make clips about that since i didnt played the game since two months and at the time the game just worked fine.
Im not talking only about fps drops in the normal batte royale (that maybe its a bit demanding) but also OG mode and creative maps.
I tried to lower all the in-game settings and on nvidia gfn settings i putted 1024x768 res (the lowest res possible) but there are still heavy fps drops.
I dont think its an internet problem since for other games (like rocket league or heroes of the storm it works fine without any connection error or stutter etc.).
I tried to ask on gfn reddit but comments were so angry and decided to delete it...
I dont even have much money for buy a proper laptop for school, why i need to spend my savings for a monthly sub just for play casually some games with my friends.
Btw i found the discord and i hope the answers under the post here are less aggressive and with less hate to the free plan users than the reddit post.

i got the same problems recently, idk why. im just waiting for more game update and see if it will fix optimisation, idk what to do

free tier is cpu limited
tanking settings and low res only puts more load on the cpu

youre shooting yourself in the foot and wondering why it hurts

settings are already all in low in game

my only solution is to make them a bit higher but idk

or change the res on the gfn settings

Tried by doing how the guy said, less heavy fps drops but still there are fps drops like from 60 to 45/40

why tf i need to find an answer when i asked for help on something that i dont know what to do. i need to guess what to do? If yes just for real im tierd of ts

im tierd of those who advice me to buy performance or those like you that dont say a damn anything for helping. waited 2 whole days on reddit only for hate answers and here no help at all. best community ever

i found some settings that gave me 60fps constantly on og (didnt tried on normal mode): gfn settings res is 1280x800, in game setting are texture low and fov medium

except I did tell you what to do, you just couldn’t be asked to put forth any effort to solve your own problem. I said free tier is cpu limited, that tanking settings and res put more load on the cpu. I told you “so if tanking settings and using a low res can harm performance, then...”, of which the only logical solution is that you should bring gpu intensive settings up while keeping cpu intensive settings relatively lower. refusal to try to solve your own problems very often makes other people unwilling to help you solve them with you. furthermore, I believe in guiding people to answers to help them learn, not just handing them to people and not teaching them anything, but if that’s how you’d like to be, that’s your prerogative
