And @eager crescent you need to talk to Nvidia with NVIDIA Support directly via Live Chat or Support Ticket, and tell them that since December the game is offline, and you want an update to this.

@fierce bear Any chance of this making it very far up the line?

It went back online actually within 30 days of this post. RN it's just down for patching.. I hope.

@wet thistle @vital harness Apologies for interupting ya'lls day. IS there an accurate way / website to find out what delays could be occurring during patching? Good communication being a thing and all?

Don't tag NV staff@cunning axle

Also what do you mean? The game is being patched for updates / maintenance so I'm not sure what you're looking for if you could clarify

Ah, Sorry Brolo I didn't know that was against rules. Just wasn't sure who to ask. My bad.

#

Yeah it's been updating for over 24 hours now...

#

I was just thinking maybe there was a site I'd missed scouring Nvidia when EVE was offline last that showed when they've run into issues at the very least.

#

Nothing on it..

#

Not asking for significant details, it'd just be nice. I admit part of it is leftover from when it went dead for 3 months roughly early this year.

The problem is, Nvidia never provided an ETA, of when the games will return available.
when there are serious problems, then Nvidia become more open and communicate it on https://status.geforcenow.com/

While there are no definitive answers given regarding the process of updating, there is referencable material from validated nvidia posts in their blog and forums that usually states often it takes minutes, sometimes hours. Even on its own product on Nvidia GeForce Now it states "We're currently patching the game. It will be ready to play in a few hours." By the way we are now getting close to 48 hours, and while the term a few can be largely considered subjective there are limits. At the end of the day the semantics of it can be argued ad infinitum. What remains if that its going to take an egregiously long period of time to update or if there are difficulties updating it would be good customer relations to have someone within the company post absolutely anything. A simple "We are still working on it" to as complex as "We've run into issues getting the new update applied to our master for the server blades and at this time are attempting to work with the developer to resolve the issue". Anything is largely better than silence, except maybe a automated response.

#

Asking if there's an update process for a paid service when the typical patch time exceeds what it typically takes doesn't seem like a unrealistic or unreasonable line of inquiry.

Updating games can't provide ETA's due to their uncertainty in working like usual. There's background tools that might not work with the game and clash against each other.

There seems to be an unusual fixation with ETA's in this conversation. I think I should clarify this for those who are confused. Im not asking for an ETA, Im asking for communication. Something other than an empty void. We've now been down for patching four days, is it truly unrealistic to ask for a company as large and purportedly forward thinking as Nvidia to simply communicate with its player base when things aren't going smoothly?

#

Nobody has still answered definitively if there is in fact a spot on the Nvidia support site that addresses when there are issues patching specific games beyond the Nvidia Geforce now page which I had already linked.

As I already told you, this is what Nvidia does at best, if there are big problems Unfortunately this is the case, it could be much more open about all the games where there are problems, but instead nothing.
