i got this problem where when i open fortnite, its on directx11 (very laggy) and then when i switch to performance mode i let it restart for it to apply it gives me the unrealengine4 crash and tells me epicgameslauncher crash, ive tried deleting geforce now and reinstalled, is there anything else i could do?

When you face a in-server problem like that, like game crashing, games with update pending, etc, you don't need to reinstall GFN.

Fortnite is a hit or miss for some users. Perfomance mode might work, might not. Others are "stuck" on 75 fps and claims that is unplayable (since their stream is limited to 60 fps).

Use a Incognito/InPrivate tab. It will solve that Permission Denied error.

When you play on GFN, you rely on GFN team. It's a completely different thing.

I'll give you a small suggestion that you might try...

If you have a mobile device, try to run Fortnite by using it. If the game opens normally, leave the session open and do not close the game.

Go back to your PC/laptop and try to play Fortnite. It should "redirect" your stream to your PC.

If you don't have a mobile device to try or the game keeps crashing, you will need to wait for the support team.

It will take lass than 5 minutes. The idea of using the mobile device, is because GFN will load a different Fortnite version. The one for mobile devices, but you can use mouse and keyboard to play.

Unfortunately, I cannot help you with that. This game shouldn't be lagging when using DX11.

Reply to the support team. The questions you mentioned there are simple to answer, such platform if it's PC (Windows, macOS or Linux) or mobile (Android or iOS), Internet is your current speed.
