android app, eu-central, the witcher 3 doesn't show 1680x720 or any other ultrawide resolution

If GFN doesn't show that specified resolution, then it isn't supported.

I have that resolution chosen in the app, it IS supported.

#

as ultrawide on mobile for priority at least

#

cyberpunk starts in that resolution. death stranding as well. genshin impact as well.

#

whereas the witcher 3 does not, and doesn't show that resolution at all. it's like the VM isn't starting in ultrawide resolution, despite it being selected in the app

#

it wouldn't surprise me much, it isn't a typical PC resolution, but on reddit there's a list of games supporting that resolution, and the witcher 3 is on it. I also saw mentions of the witcher 3 having problems with showing the full list of resolutions, just like in this case. so it's either something with the game (unlikely imho), or something with a VM config for that game. perhaps epic version in particular

If you can't use that resolution, then you can't use that resolution. You can't forcibly use a custom resolution you want on GFN.

it is not a custom resolution. it's a resolution that's supported within GFN app on mobile as 21:9 available for priority users at least, likely free as well since it is below 16:9 1080p

#

and games in general DO launch in that resolution, since they're using the native desktop resolution the VM is running at by default. you can see by launching death stranding with that resolution chosen in the GFN app, that the whole desktop behind the epic launcher has 21:9 aspect ratio

#

for the witcher 3, that is NOT the case. so it's a problem with VM config.

#

the game itself DOES support it.

#

that list is pretty short and incomplete, but still, the witcher 3 is on it

#

it's something that should work and it's not a problem on my end, so unless there's a possibility of nvidia employee checking it out, you're wasting my time here. and yes, I did use in app issue reporting

#

the assumption here was that since nvidia employees are here, they will handle such cases. I don't need a random person telling me "it's your problem", when I know for a fact it is not.

If you want to talk to NVIDIA, then go to their website, NVIDIA employees are here freely and weren't forced to join. The hostility also isn't needed for voluntary support, no need to act hostile to make a point.
