Runs even worse on server grade CPU's,
You have to run the settings to it's lowest to achieve a high frame-rate.
mesh quaity ,grass, trees uses the most resourees lower them moslty over other stff

The devs coded it poorly.
No, as it's server grade CPUs, the most you can do to get good frames is upgrade to the 3080 tier to get good frames on Rust, as they have Threadrippers.
Probably good rigs or lower resolutions.
I don't know.
I know I got decent frames on Rust when I used to use and play GFN.
