Every time I try to launch Battlefront 2 from origin it tells me that "Unfortunately, Epic Games Store versions are not supported."

Do you own the Origin version or are you trying to play the EGS version (that one given for free a while ago)?

To buy the Origin version, you need to access their website directly:
https://www.origin.com/store/star-wars/star-wars-battlefront-2

The orange button will inform you that you have this game, then just click on the drop down menu and you will see the "Buy another version" there.

Then you will be able to buy the Origin version.
