Colours doesn't change after buying & sometimes wallpapers / floor back to default?

It doesn't change after buying & saving, I'm not sure what's triggering the it to change the wallpaper & floor back to default

Wallpaper & floor change to default only when I enter the shop

As for the items not changing color, did this happen even when the item was selected? The outlines should show on the item when it's being actively selected

yes, it was selected

oh okay so i have to manually click it for them to change colour

it doesn't change when I was looking at the possible colours to change
