You want ideas?
I’m not really a creative type but try a bullet hell game
Maybe bullet hell but the only way to attack is to have the enemies kill each other
how much experience do you have? any finished projects or itch.io page so we can see your work and gauge the kind of project that would be suited to you?
if you're just getting started, I really recommend Unity Learn. It's totally free and will teach you all you need to know about making games in Unity, and as part of the course you'll make like 5 games!
I would be embarrassed to show
but ok
here is my first Demo 2D game ever
haha don't worry, my most impressive game is literally about dropping poos in a toilet
yo wtf, ok
we all suck, and we'rte trying to suck less
i guess your mind is like that lol
I think the hardest thing about game dev is that you have to make like 50 bad games before you start to make your first good one
I'm not even kidding lol
it's a terrible game, but it's progress haha
But srs Unity Learn is so good
half the battle of game dev is figuring out what tool you need for your current problem, and you can't do that without knowledge
there are no shortcuts
think about it - you wouldn't walk up to a classical composer and ask for a shortcut to writing a symphony
same goes for this medium,
yes
This is my first game
It bad
I know
it not finished 😦
@here
@sand shore
Did you play it
Just played - I think it's promising!
ik it's ass
Have you ever played Thomas Was Alone?
no
what's your steam ID?
what the hack is dat
I'll buy it for you
it made game of the year like 9 years ago
and it looks like your game
no
it would be good research for you to play it
suit yourself - buy it yourself if you prefer
but I think you would benefit from playing through it, and understanding the components of a successful game
it's 100% better than mine cause mine is ass and his game is not-ass
fair enough, you'd best give up on gamedev then
But i love my progress so far
NEWSFLASH: EVERYONE'S FIRST FEW GAMES ARE ASS
Are you using structured study? That's when I'd recommend Unity Learn again
or any kind of OOP course
Should I learn JAVASCRIPT to learn C#
My problem is
C# programmin g
I'm not very good at it
nah, just do this course, you'll be grand
