If player hears the squeaky card then they have to run.
yeah, squeaky cart means LOS
maybe have a PA sound right before the lights turn off for warning
like the "ding dong"
or don't, which would be scarier
I like that one IKEA horror game in roblox that has relaxing music playing over the intercom until the lights turn off
"A rapid storm is approaching of unprecedented scale, please be cautious when navigating the store."
-The PA
great idea
then there's a reason for the lights turning off
Yep.
the store should be very understocked to show why the karens are so ravenous
Yeah.
(also so its not incredibly difficult, and saves on modelling/textures)
i mean i can get away with this because of the visual style
but depending on the style you're doing, you're probably going to need a lot of props
Actually, was about to say I might do low-poly.
my game has one texture in it for a material
and its for an easter egg
technically two if you count particle materials
wow an indie low poly game 🤯 /hj
Thinking maybe I could I do those crappy generic store off-brand items, you know what I'm talking about, right.
yeaa like Coker Cola
Root Beer, no no, Rot Beer.
Mhm.
they're too pixelated to technically make out the name
I might design my own product labels in the style of those off brand products.
unfortunately their logo designers were good at the job because the logos are recognizable from any distance
besides the last one
Yeah.
what you gotta do is spend like 60 seconds messing up the logos in photoshop before pixellating them
yeah all of those textures i recolored them and blurred them slightly
this one i wasnt gonna use at all
but with compression it was unrecognizable
dordos
lie's
Yeah, I am gonna go get to work on this now, hopefully gonna be a good something.
send progress updates because im invested in it now
Okay, will do.
Gonna try to make a small map, without textures.
I don't have enough storage to make the project.
Bunniico PC
I built it in maybe like '16-'17
Ahh, custom built.
SSDs costed shit ton back then
like $2-3 per gig
This was to my knowledge the max storage size you could get for this model of the Pro 2.
Oh, yeah, I have a 1.5tb external drive.
I mean maybe I can use the like 90 gigs i have on my quest lmfao
Oh yeah, you can write to that, that's right.
Imagine this.
Me: Yeah, let me go grab my Quest 2.```
Plugs in quest, and game launches.
"yeah its my external drive"
But, yeah, gonna have to free up space, gonna do it tomorrow probably, but will ping you with my first level when it's done.
