You probably want to use regular force, not relative.
i tried that but was having the problem that the ai(should call it gameobject really) was only moving in one direction even when shot from multiple angles
it wasnt really trying
It really depends on where the hit point is relative to the go position
Try debugging that direction you calculate with a ray.
