project itself
Right, yes it is WIP, that said, anything in particular?
not anything in particular, it looks like a cool idea, just very toybox
What do you mean by toybox? and thanks for the feedback.
everythings the same saturation, the UI looks placeholder, theres no visual elements/animations/swaing trees and grass, no particle effects popping out, no camera shifts and bounces, no sliding ui panels etc
all the stuff that makes a game pop
u have a solid base tho, and thats the first and important part
UI is placeholder, those aspects aren't even started. Curious about same saturation though. Do you have any examples of a project with a range of saturation in a screenshot?
But yeah everything is all base, no sounds, only basic animation, still building the bones before adding the meat. ❤️
another thing is that your character is very high definition voxel, while everything else is leaning towards not being very voxely at all and very low definition/boxy
makes him feel outta place a bit
I would say that is true, the video is a dev preview not a game trailer. But you are right MobSniper, everything is very early on and release target is around 2030.
Truth is with internet. Looks are important and both of your feedback @somber flint / @fallen hull are indicator that people are looking for polish, not so much to see the kitchen XD
I am really glad both of you replied, and gave feedback though, that is still engagement and appreciated!
I would have no feedback on gameplay as I'm not playing it, if you want feedback on stuff other than visuals you gotta release prototypes /demos ‼️
That is true, not ready for a demo yet. I will release a prototype to test out on itch later this year.
I have the discord in my profile if you want to follow along until a demo/prototype drops
small advice, even if you dont have a gameplay loop I'd test certain features or even small parts of the game with people, play testing is crucial to make a successful game, and also allows you to spend less time working on stuff. Like let's say you work on a pretty big feature and it takes you a year to do it, but you have people playtest it and they heavily dislike it- now thats a year gone. But if you made a prototype for that feature within a week or 2, you would of only spent a week instead of a year on something that didn't work/stick
yeah cant really judge gameplay as all i saw you do was fly around land and walk around i love the iso viewport, but otherwise nothing entices atm
even if its close people or family playtesting is amazing ^^ and try to get multiple people rather than just one person as there are always outliers
