#Elon fanbase & AI engines
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
he said he is going to change how games are made currently
he said a lot of times already that he's gonna change how people do stuff
none of them changed how people do stuff
last couple of months ago we saw Google Ginie
and a video on twitter of a shooting game type made with AI
Heres a list of all of Elon Musks current and past promises that lead nowhere
Enjoy reading it, theres quite a lot
Thats so funny
someone really made a site just for this xD
That doesn't mean anything
Genie is not at all capable of making an actual game
but will be or let say a clear vision or something ?
I highly doubt that it will go anywhere. It's riding on the AI wave. It'll probably help a "lot" of people create interactive experiences...but actual games? No chance
Its simply too damn complex for AI to do atm
maybe in the future, sure, if the wave doesn't calm down
how can u say that AI wont effect game Engines
AI is writing codes
making animations
making 3D models
sounds and alll , then how will not it change Engines like
I'm not saying it won't affect engines
but AI alone with just prompting won't make a good game in the forseeable future
AI is still writing code that's usually trash or requires deep knowledge already
how is it different from the MUSE update of unity
That doesn't change it to be a prompting engine
there is already tons data that these Ai people can train for making game\
Tons of data that may or may not be correct
Ai is just guessing what the correct answer should be based on data. That's why you can convince AI of a LOT of things.
and its why it gives horrendously wrong answers sometimes
Also Unity is a public company, they HAVE to take part in the AI world, or the investors will think they're falling behind. That's why the price dropped when Genie was showcased, and then rose when the unity guy talked about AI in the engine
yea, unity won't go AI only for the forseeable future
you'll be able to use it mostly just like today probably forever
lets see how future goes
BTW @vernal steppe thanks
sure 😄
I don't really see who would benefit from such an engine. Those who are not interested in game dev will not get a functional game and those who are can already use AI as guidance or assistance for stuff they don't know yet but want to learn.
