#Weird black thing on my object Using Adaptative Prob Orbes
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
all objects are set as static object, using Light Probes
and the adaptative probes cover the whole place
You should use rendering debugger to view the individual probes and to help look for a pattern in the artifact
The black square/cube is not the only weird thing, the lamp's light is also a harsh square with a dark border too which shouldn't happen
Probe Volumes Options volume override lets you disable the dithered sampling which can make the proble lighting easier to see for debugging purposes
I don't recognize these types of artifacts but I'd try to look for anything in the hierarchy that might have a renderer component that could be contributing to lighting but hidden in scene/game
If probes just get inexplicably wrong lighting in some area, what tends to fix it is to use a Probe Offset that puts them off grid, like 0.12345, avoiding perfect overlaps as well as just giving the lightmapper different values to work with
