that a good thing?

yup

#

seems issue might be strictly Unity not detecting the editor

#

did you show the packages in Package manager btw

I have checked all of those boxes underneath where you select the editor and it consistently resets them too. I'm not kidding when I meant that no preference is saved lol when I finish with my school work, I'm going to attempt to install the version before and see if it works. Otherwise, I'll just go to the website and create a new ticket or something

its overall a much better distro than Ubuntu (yes its based on ubuntu but still )

lapis sandal
#

you dont need all those checkboxes, just the top 2 are default

I'm honestly fixing to switch back over to garuda. I love their dragonized gaming edition

#

before selection

#

after selection

lapis sandal
#

wait.

#

how did you install VSCode?

#

is it snap?

#

or .debian package

idle leaf
#

snap

lapis sandal
#

ops

#

almost got banned for send too fast lol

idle leaf
#

same with discord, rider, intelli, and pycharm, however, I didn't use the snap store. I used cmd. sudo snap install vscode && sudo snap install intellij-idea-community --classic && sudo snap install pycharm-community --classic && sudo snap install rider --classic

lapis sandal
#

anyway that could be WHY

#

snap creates weird isolation issues

#

its odd that it doesnt give the VSCode version in dropdown

lapis sandal
#

they usually are self contained

idle leaf
#

oh ok. I'll remove them and then use apt to install. I'll come back if I still have an issue

lapis sandal
#

you can just run that

idle leaf
#

mhm

lapis sandal
#

apt get works too

#

I have a video for Mint should also work with ubuntu.. Working on another one for latest mint

idle leaf

I appreciate it. I hope you didn't do that directly for me as I'll be switching to garuda as previously stated. If you did, I am very appreciative 🙂

I have another for newer Mint v and VSCode but not much changed, haven't had time to upload it
