tbh I have looked into Unity's Localization package. imo it is very far from production ready
Hi, i found out the problem, looks like Google Translate was generating a invisible character that was giving this error, but i don't know if that's somethign to be changed on Localization, like stripping those bugged characters automatically to avoid this

I like it, previously i was using the asset "I2 Localization", but it was way too bloated and simple things like adding a variable to the translation would be a pain

最大 HP: {MaxHP}{extraMaxHPMessage} ダメージ: {Damage}{extraDamageMes​​sage} 移動速度: {MoveSpeed}{extraMoveSpeedMessage}
If you double click on the "extra" in "extraDamageMEssage" you'll see that the blue thing won't go all the way through the variable, it's because there is 2 invisible characters like this:
extraCharacterMes (2 invisible characters here) sage
And those characters were giving this error
Even tho it is my fault i'll still submit the bug and this idea of stripping unhandled characters

The UI/UX is, frankly atrocious especially when using the Localization component and the lack of automatic translation or the ability to add it as a plugin is a major problem.

I agree with the support for the TMP_Dropdown
I had to implement my own solution for the dropdowns, it would be nice to have support for it
It would be nice to have some kind of plugin system too for those things like automatic translation too but i don't feel it's that necessary in my case as i pay for people to localizing and/or use some AI like ChatGPT with the whole .CSV
I gave up with the unity implementation after a few weeks of struggling with it and wrote my own including support for tmp_dropdown and automatic translation plus text to speech

We intentionally dont support automatic translations, the quality is not reliable enough. We suggest you work with professional translators.
However, people have written plugins to do automatic translations in the tool. I think theres even one on the asset store.
