#But uh... why is the `_BaseMap` not

Emission is applied on top of the basemap.
Turn it off and you see the basemap
(if you apply any light to it)
The point light at my star's location is set to a range of 100,00 by the way with 500 intensity. This planet's position is (~20, 0, 6) lol
Still no light being applied
whats the lights settings?
and your lighting settings?
uncheck realtime GI, Uncheck Baked GI and try generate lighting at the bottom
nothing changed?
nope
well, something is fked up there
if you create new point light, is this working if you place it beside your planet?
let's see...
added a new point light to the scene, tried several range and intensity factors, tried moving the light, tried with a directional light and an area light, no change
I'm once again at a complete and total loss
Here's my actual Light Settings as well, not sure if I shared these yet
Ok..just to test.
Does a standard unity cube receives light?
nope, a basic ass, default cube with the default Lit material is also just a solid black void
I can only see it because it blocks out other objects lmao
next step.
create a new scene, add a cube and a point light ๐
will do
@pastel swan you got an idea?
(image shows a range of 10, I fixed it and still no effect)
I changed it like I said
just place the cube at 0/0/0 and the light as 1/0/0.
still no effect?
maybe your project is corrupt or something.
i have no clue anymore ๐
I've never even touched the lighting before yesterday. How could it even be corrupt?
I swear if I have to redo this entire projectI'm just going to give up
if you go to the quality settings, is there an urp asset assigned?
if you add yours or create a new, what happens?
There's a lot in the planet scene lmao
you could send me the scene, if you like, and i have a look
uh.. how do I do that?
But i will have access to your whole project.
So if there is something you dont want to share, you should not do it.
I mean, doesn't bother me, just a personal project which makes realistic solar systems
if thats okay for you, then export that package, upload it anywhere and send me a dm with a link.
The entire project?
if you export the assets as package, like i showed you in the screen, it packs everything in one file
