Do you have any experience in the video game industry ? Have you done a specific formation ? Did you participate in Game Jam ? Do you have a portfolio that has considerable time invested in a video game ? Since when have you started developing video game ?
What you need more than a good presentation is good content. After that, any standard CV advice should suffice.
I'd start with Google
Unless you care about learning to craft your own CV, you can just use chatGPT to make it for you. Give it your credentials, experience, skills, and it will give you the same thing you could spend an hour or two designing yourself.
Good luck with the internship as well. Simferoce's questions are important too, you need to show at least some level of experience to get hired, which your course should have provided you with plenty of
Thank you all for your help
I deeply appreciate it.
For the love of God do not use ChatGPT to make your CV resume
And ESP do not give it your credentials holy moly that is such bad opsec
Oh yeah if you're a secret agent worried about somebody knowing that you went to college, don't use the helpful CV crafting tool.... 😂 😂
"Sir, I think this might be our guy. Somebody just told chatGPT that they have a college education!"
Crafting your own CV is a skill but let's not pretend that the average person doesn't just use CV tools
You can use tools and resume checkers and all that
But chatGPT and AI in general is probs not the play, esp considering how dumb and inaccurate it can be
Brother all I said was ChatGPT is a pretty bad tool
I genuinely think you're better off just coming up with your own descriptions of your experience and skills than using what chatGPT will spit out
Just the quality of responses that ChatGPT spits is very poor, at least as of late
haha yeah ignore me, I was mostly poking fun, you are 100% right do not give your full name to GPT, it will hold that info forever
GPT 3.5 is poor, but the paid version (4) has been pretty useful for multiple gamedev aspects i've found
Just follow some online guides and if you can, ask your alumnis and fellow graduates for tips on how to make an awesome CV. If you don't have experience, then what you wanna do is start working on projects that'll look impressive to recruiters. I know I put in my web app that I made for my SWE class and one of my unity projects, and also my unreal projects I did for computer graphics. Also, put a focus on your skills if you lack experience! That's always a thing recruiters look at
It's good for basic application but idk, I just don't trust ai to give me good advice personally
still only so useful, yeah. Sometimes it can be... braindead
