first the game starts and it runs, then the function Gameover which would be called in the player's script will occur when the player collides into another entity and it stops the gameplay
Nothing in that tells me that you understand the code
I'm asking you, what do you think that code does
Like what do you think you're doing in GameOver
game over would bring up the ui and stop the game?
would it be gameOverCanvas.SetActive(true)

The tutorial should have told you what it does
And you should be googling what SetActive does

im gonna guess that i dont have that
cause i kept comparing my code to the tutorial and tbh it's not giving me any hint as to how it disappears and reappears after collision
