#Well no because here the filter mode is

Sprite padding is required to fix the tears, as I mentioned before
No need to switch to reverse as soon as there's a complication
I recommend you decide to try smoothpixel or pixel perfect, or both, but in any case go all in and do the work that they require
Both of them do need some setup
Only then do you know if they actually work for you
Well, here's the result of that.
I'd have gone with a hand-drawn style, but... I don't have any digital scanner in which I can scan my drawings and put them into the game.
That's not too bad is it
Since we're looking at 5x zoom here, the "blurriness" won't be as apparent when played as intended
Guess it could also look more stylized as a pixel art game.
One drawback of texture AA is that the antialiasing will always cause about 1 pixel of blur
So the bigger your pixels are in terms of PPU, the less intrusive it is
And similarly if your player has a big screen, one pixel blur will be relatively smaller
Taking photos of the art isn't much worse than scanning them, since cameras are so good these days
Both would require roughty the same amount of digital touch up to be usable as assets anyway
