How much have you played it? Im pretty experienced and I can safely say the meta literally never changes
The highest arena is literally the same 4 or 5 towers in 95% of games
made to Hom last season, was super dissapointed to see darling ice farm/vil get abused as much as it did
I stopped playing it a couple seasons ago

It took them like 3 months to fix bloon trap which was ruining eco
I only grinded for hom because I had never made it before, until then I was maybe 2 months into not playing

eco meta means games last for 10+ minutes every time
They really needed a tower ban system IMO
It would make high level play 100x more enjoyable
I totally agree. That's something they've been doing in competetive community games for over half a year

the big issue with B2 balancing is that they are applying the same approach they take to balancing btd6, which is slow changes over a long period of time
And thats super unhealthy for a competitive game
they would go weeks at a time without patching broken strats over and over and over again
Their biggest issue was releasing it way too early, then just leaving for christmas break
dartling sniper ninja, dartling farm ninja, tack eco strats before the pierce bug was patched, druid sub farm....
The release honestly killed the game, theres no saving it
one single crippling decision was not bringing back the random 4th tower from btdb1
Druid honestly could be fixed by just making heart of vengeance not get to full power unless at 1 life
in battles 1, getting a random 4th tower let you use it with all tiers unlocked
The randomness from the 4th tower isnt super healthy for a competitive game

Maybe if you were given the random fourth before selecting your hero and given the same random fourth as your opponent?
I'm talking about casual mode, a HUGE mistake with the early months of the game,l was that you had to go way out of your way to grind xp for a single tower

They shouldve kept tower XP in the state it was in before they removed it IMO, the current system is way too convoluted
The only possible way they could save the game is making a few couple huge bug fixing, polishing, and balance updates, then releasing a battles 2 exclusive hero alongside a massive ad campaign
- everyone's locked to tier 2 upgrades
- most towers are terrible without t3+
- one tower is clearly broken even with t2s
- everyone uses tack, and then they discover that the bottom path upgrades are even MORE broken
- if you don't grind for the broken upgrades, you lose every time and get less xp

I'm making my game for a highschool competition, I was making a ton of progress till I got screwed over with med shortages
Oh, I'm terrible at 3d art. I deliberately made the style something simple that I wouldn't spend too much time on, so I could focus on the gameplay mechanics
