#Project Recovery after accidental deletion
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
I can help when I have time.
Either right now, or tomorrow at some point.
You need to @mention me so I get a notification.
For starters, you can use Windows Explorer to open the Project folder.
Then take a screenshot of it, so I can see which folders exist inside it.
Alt + Print Screen only takes the active window.
How long have you worked on the project?
I have a bunch of them with alot of code I've written
You'll need to elaborate a bit further, and take that screenshot.
Is it one project, or many projects, which you accidentally deleted?
No that's not what happened, I accidentally dragged the recycling bin on to unity and deleted the whole thing, but then I recovered it, but now unity won't open and on unity hub it says that those file don't exist
you dragged the Recycling Bin onto the Unity Editor folder? Not a project folder?
No the unity app on desktop
The whole app
the shortcut icon?
Each Unity Editor version is stored in its own folder, far away from Desktop. (unless you chose to store it there)
What lies on Desktop is usually just a shortcut icon that opens the .exe file of the editor.
screenshot something
Maybe the file now exists somewhere else and unity hub thinks it's gone because it isn't where it's supposed to be

I'm confused. You say you need help with recovering files from your project, but this thread has been open for over 12 hours, and you have still not answered my questions nor provided a screenshot.
I am just a random friendly person who decided to help you. My patience is limited, and my time is precious.
This thread will be closed at any point within 12 hours.
Take a screen shot of what? I answered the questions you asked and now I'm asking if there's anything you know that guy above was helpful
