the animation feels incredibly sluggish

#

even though the duration is perfectly fine

Too slow looking?

first of all, I hope that you've tested your weapon to see if ~4 seconds is what the reload time should be

stuck rivet
#

Yeah its good like that

Yeahh

quaint wasp
#

instead of feeling like a realistic reload, it looks like the first 2 seconds are slow motion

#

while I honestly think the second half is better

#

....partly because the mag insertion is offscreen so that you don't see it clip through the mag well

stuck rivet
#

Yeah I did that on purpose lmao

#

I couldnt keep the mag in the hand properly so i did thaty

quaint wasp
#

did you animate this in dedicated animation software or unity?

#

I've tried hand animating reload animations in unity and it is truly terrible

Unity

You cannot just parent things

#

which makes it hard

quaint wasp
#

uhhh

#

learning to animate in blender is its own long process

#

but you'll have the tools to prevent many unity-related bugs

#

such as the mag not being 'clamped' to the left hand upon mag release

#

Yeah

#

even better, you can use physics simulation to flick the magazine out and have it spin and fall realistically

stuck rivet
#

Also... Unreleated but am I the only one where when Visual studio shows some suggestions my CPU temp Spikes up +10c

quaint wasp
#

idk about that

stuck rivet
#

I might downgrade VS to 2019 (I loveeee that version) and it won’t spike my CPU probably

#

Thanks for giving the feedback though @quaint wasp
I will try to make the animations less slow motion next time 👍
