Hello, I'm a coder who started developing their first game almost a year ago in unity.
Hello everyone, I am a gameplay programming student with a focus on architecture and scalability. I recently decided to come back to unity after going on a long journey away from unity after the Runtime Fee of 2023. What I've learned from venturing out is that I really need to pick a framework that allows me to make web builds for game jams; make Windows, Linux, and MacOS builds for my commercial games. Offer various tools to customize the rendering in my game for photorealism-ps1 style graphics. Allow for both 2D and 3D game creation. Finally, offer a great number of third party tools that directly integrate with the engine to facilitate in development.

Hey everyone, I'm Simon!
I'm a developer with a passion for building across a lot of different areas: Games, servers, bots, VSTs (audio plugins), and desktop apps. My coding journey started as a kid messing around with Python, took a detour through VRChat world-building in Unity, and eventually grew into a full-blown obsession with C# and C++.
These days I'm deep into graphics programming and 3D rendering.
What I work with: C# · C++ · Python · JavaScript · HTML/CSS.
Currently building things under GitHub.
Always happy to talk about coding, game developing, audio technical stuff, or anything in between. Feel free to say hi!

Welcome, @lunar moat and @slender mesa nice to have you here!
Hello lovely commUnity! (original joke, I know)
My name is Sam, and I guess I'm better known as Sykoo. 😃 I'm a YouTuber under the name Sykoo (http://www.youtube.com/sykoo) and I make video content primarily about Unity. That includes tutorials, Unity news, tips and tricks, and more! I also make generalized Game Dev content such as game design videos. I'm also a sucker for graphics and high visual fidelity, so I make content around that too!
I'm also a Unity employee, and I work for Unity Technologies as their Online Evangelist. That means I work with video production for Unity's official YouTube channel, I give talks and presentations around the world, and attend events and conferences. You may have seen some of my videos on Unity if you've watched, for instance, the FPS Sample announcement video. Anyway, that's all for my intro. Hope you all enjoy your time in here. ❤
Literally stolen from my Unity Interview

Hello there! I'm Samuel, doing such things as audio engineering, gameplay & network programming and music composition. I'm currently working on a game "Redshift" as a lead programmer & audio engineer alongside my few personal projects.
I'm also looking for short-term work as a sound designer, so hit me up if you desperately need one
Hello I'm known as Asset Jesus because I provide all assets I make for free, there's no strings attached and you're free to use them in any sort of project. They've been used in official Unity documentation and videos and I recently had the honor to judge entries for the Unity 2D Challenge. I should be Unity staff but currently I just sometimes sprinkle a bit of asset dust on projects and that works out great.
@dusty crater Are you still working on that arcade sim?
@rapid prism Yes, I'm actually a huge idiot and lost ALL my Unity projects in a recent hard drive crash (it's in the laboratory now getting fixed, hopefully) except that arcade sim one. So that's still on.
(but also so sorry about your other projects!)
Hi, I'm a programmer, typically doing gameplay and UI programming but I usually do a bit of everything else too. Currently in my 3rd year of university studying gamedev and working on a Souls-like game for my final year project. I occasionally tweet about it over at http://twitter.com/programmerKyle . DMs are open if anyone wants to chat
Hi, I’m Nax, I am a a computer science student currently at college in the UK, I’m very interested in low level languages such as rust, as well as making beautiful simulations and artistic stuff using unity or the HTML5 canvas. HMU if you want to argue about nonsensical crap!
hey hi hello. my name's ryan. my handle is a lie. i'm doing everything except audio for a game that i've been working on for about a year and a half. some screenshots and whatnot can be found on my Twitter @fierce aspen . my capitalization isn't great because i'm too lazy to use the shift key unless it's for proper nouns. i'm looking forward to being part of a kind, helpful community 🙂
Hi folks! I'm Ben, and i do some XR/streaming/misc things at Microsoft during the day (in Unity when it can be), and build games in my free time. Latest project is powered by Unity and launching on PS4 on 2/5 (finally, wooo). I'm excited about being able to chat, debug, and nerd out with all of ya'll! 👋
Hey guys, I'm Ethan, i'm a final year computer games student in the south of the UK. I'm an ex-Unity intern, gone Unity student ambassador and I've been using unity for about 4 years now. I'm currently trying my hand at making VR games, so if you have any tips let me know.
Hello folks! I'm Carl D - former game developer turned Program Manager here at Unity! I work on our Education team to help teachers and students learn Unity best! I used to work with student hackathons all over the world (I can't even count on several fingers and toes how many hackathons I've been to in my life). I currently spend a lot of time on PUBG, playing Divinity Original Sin 2, or practicing magic. My Twitter is super random, but feel free to follow me: https://twitter.com/carlflamingo
Hello people! I am Kuroneko (that is of course my fursona name, prefer not to use my real name online). I love games and I like making things using C# and Unity. I wish to get into game development but I of course have no talent nor patience to learn 2D art/animation or 3D modeling/animation. I am at the moment getting a 2 year CS degree.
Hello. Hobbyist/Procrastinator game developer, still a student and lazy. Somewhat experienced in C# and Unity, though i wish i was better.

I released a game on Steam late 2017 called Color Jumper and I'm working on a new project right now. Excited to join this community and hopefully meet some new friends! Hey Mods, do you plan on adding music and/or sound design as "art" here? :)

I work closely with the teams building SRP (Both LWRP and HDRP), ShaderGraph, Terrain system improvements, graphics rendering technology, just to name a few. Been helping teams build games for well over 20 years, including quite a few in both Unity and Unreal over the past 10. I love Unity w/ Zenject and SOLID programming. You can say I am a principle(s) guy ;)

Hullo hullo! I'm Cort Stratton, and I'm a Lead Software Engineer on the Unity Burbank DOTS (Data-Oriented Tech Stack) team. DOTS is the umbrella under which things like ECS, Burst, and HPC# live. I've been in AAA gamedev for ~15 years, but I'm relatively new to Unity (both the company and the product), so I'll mainly be hanging out in #archived-dots looking for any ECS questions I feel qualified to answer. I tweet at https://twitter.com/postgoodism, though generally not about work 😄
Hi! I'm Adam - lead programmer/developer for Sinespace, a Unity based virtual world / MMO platform editable in Unity. 😃 http://sine.space
Hello everyone,
I am Brett; one of the two programmers who made Forge Networking. I've worked mainly on mobile games, with a focus of using Unity professionally. I've been working in Unity since 2011 professionally. When I started programming at my first job as a junior programmer, I introduce them to Unity and have been huge in supporting its platform for a long time. I've since then started my own company (twice), worked freelance, worked in small and big teams, indie and AAA companies in the gaming industry. I do love the support of the community and appreciate what Unity has given to developers. I'm a strong advocate for Unity and wish success for everyone that uses its platform.
Greetings fellow humans. I am also a human. I have also convinced Unity that I am human as well and have been working for them for the past two years. My role is that of a Software Development Engineer in Test. In other words, I make stuff to break Unity's stuff.
I don't actually work in the engine much as I spend most of my time working server side on our online services. Generally speaking, if it is an online service that is shown on https://developer.cloud.unity3d.com under that "Develop" top tab there, I am working on it. That includes the developer website itself, Unity Collaborate, Unity Cloud Diagnostics, Unity Integrations, and some of Unity Cloud Build. I don't work on Ads, Analytics, nor Multiplayer (although some of the Multiplayer humans are just down the hall from me).
You can find me on Twitter here, where I will sometimes post about new stuff being released on the developer website when I remember to do it and it contains interesting changes for users. (I am assuming you don't want to know when we increase the padding between two buttons from 10 pixels to 12 pixels). https://twitter.com/GurgDev
I will be lurking in #💻┃unity-talk and remember to report bugs! We can't fix them if we don't know about them!
Unity is the ultimate game development platform. Use Unity to build high-quality 3D and 2D games, deploy them across mobile, desktop, VR/AR, consoles or the Web, and connect with loyal and enthusiastic players and customers.

I'm Kat, she/her, a technical writer for the Graphics department(s) in Unity. My primary focus is on the Lightweight Render Pipeline, but I help out where I can across different graphics features. So being able to combine my linguistic skills with creating docs for game devs is an actual dream come true for me.

But I don't know what can I use Unity and also how can I make a game. Everything is mass up and confused. If I can make a plausible game, it means that there is a miracle in the world.

Hello all, the name's Matt. I'm a graphic designer turned game programming turned game design student at LaSalle College. I manage a community server for other students at my school including programmers, game designers, artists, and modellers. For whatever reason, so many students here dislike Unity. I feel like the black sheep of the crowd so here I am trying to find a place among likeminded folk.
I don't have a twitter account or any portfolio site set up yet but it's in the plan for the coming few months.
I'm currently working on a casual mobile resource management game and with a team of students on a sidescroller shoot'em up.

Hey all, name's Sam. Was once a music producer/sound designer around 3 years ago, for quite some time, then got some lucky indie game positions which very quickly changed my ambitions, and thus turned me towards game design and conceptualisation. I was already quite the all-rounder, with creative skill in concept art, UI design, writing, characters, VA work, and many more,... But now, regardless, i'm very much content going forward into the gaming industry and building my skills further.
I'm currently the Game Director for Northwood Studios (SCP:SL) and Lead Sound Designer for Affray Studios (SCP:A), with a few more credits on writing, music etc on smaller projects, some released, some not. Currently trying to acquaint myself with programming and 3d modelling to add to my other skills, and I've found unity to be a great medium for this endeavour.
Cheers for having me, and look forward to chatting, sharing info, and learning from you all 😃
Hello, Anthony Coffee here. I am a nerd. I always did some form of art/music. Later in life I taught myself the adobe suite. I went to school for graphic design in college and I did very well. I got a job doing IT for the local police which I currently do plus logo, motion graphics, and websites at night. I always wanted to make games since my first NES system. I have a couple friends that make games and the fever hit me so here I am loving environmental design.
Um hi... I make games with unity... and I guess that's it
Hey, my name is Keenan Woodall. I've been working on a tool called Deform for over two years. It lets you add deformers/modifiers to meshes like in 3DS Max or Blender. My goal is to release it in April, when I turn 21. Follow me on twitter if ya wanna check it out! https://twitter.com/keenanwoodall
I also like putting my experiments on GitHub as well 😃 https://github.com/keenanwoodall
Hey I’m a game dev. Still learning. And not so good at art/modelling.
I’m working on a project codenamed Candy. The game originally was set to be a cutesy game where you avoid obstacles and collect ice cream; later on I changed the concept to a darker theme, still grasping on some features from the previous idea.
The backstory of the current game is about an evil scientist/engineer who clones robots in his factory to take over the world. You, the fighter, have to protect the city by putting yourself at danger and killing those robots!
I plan to add an end point of the game, where you basically have beaten the scientist, by reaching a score such as 1 million (for example)
There is more of an incentive to the game then just raking a high score. You can collect skins and win trophies in the game
If you want to know more about the project, suggest some cool features, see some gameplay or just want to say hi then be sure to hit me up!
Hey, Unity Programmer/Generalist with some VFX leanings here - done a lot of procedural mesh generation work in engine, plus some animation and IK. Have my own game wip. I'm interested in narrative experience and making pretty things! That is all 👋
Hello, my name is Andrei, I work full-time as a programmer developing boring kids games, but also work as a hobby trying to create more fun projects. As a developer, my main areas of interest are game mechanics and level design. I'm a big fan of clean and good code, and I enjoy working on the mechanics of games.
I would be interested in meeting people to discuss about Unity best practices and optimisation tricks, or finding a partener to work with on a fantasy RPG, ideally a level/game designer; there's also a lot of room for creativity so I'd like to work with someone passionate about this. Cheers!
Hello. I'm a designer that's bounced around the games development scene in Vancouver since the early 90's. Currently trying to fill out my skills in areas I don't have as much experience in: modelling, animating, shaders.. and other art stuff.
Recovering from a major health scare that put me firmly in the mindset of doing exactly what I want to do, fully embracing being an Indie. Taking on a project that's possibly too big, but that's kind of the point too. Dream project and all that, solving one element at a time.
Heya, I am a owner/developer at Mented Studios where I have slowly been working on building games, in the past 2 years. I've been a developer for about 10 years.
I also help organizing game development related events over in The hague.
I am always open for some small talk, so feel free to mention or dm me to have a talk ^^
Hello. Similar to @steep basalt, I'm an owner/developer at Anharmonic Games where I have slowly been working on creating games these past few years. I currently work at Ovilex Soft as the lead programmer as my day job, while slowly getting to kickstart our own studio with a few smaller titles.
Worked on Project Vaulderie in the past, which aimed to recreate Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines to Unity, along with graphical enhancements and improved gameplay. Unfortunately we had to cease the project due to the publisher owning the IP at the time, and ever since we tried getting it approved again with the current publishers. Things looked bright until we hit a wall with Activision (turned out they own the full rights, even if they aren't the sole owners of the IP).
While it's still a dream project I'd wish to make it happen, I've moved on to create our own games with a small team. We're working on a few small mobile games while pursuing publishers for our 2D platformer game we started working on a while ago.
Having a day job as a Unity game programmer hasn't been as lucrative as I assumed (low salary as a senior programmer and low motivation working on simulators at the company), made me push through getting back on resuming work on our older projects. While there's a lot ahead waiting for us, I'm trying to balance working on them after work, albeit it's hard to keep both energy and having time to enjoy life, hopefully I can push through for the smaller mobile ones.
Hey everybody, I'm a hobbyist programmer who likes to make unity games and c# mods! 😉
Greetings people of Unity development! I'm RedVonix, CEO & Lead Developer of the contract house Cerulean Games, and original game production studio Drunk Robot Games. I've been building games for roughly 2 decades, have shipped 20+ titles, and am an expert Unity developer and C# engineer. Outside of working on contract projects, I'm also currently developing the cat potato JRPG platformer - A Purrtato Tail!
DM me if you want to discuss projects, bizdev, talk about Purrtato Tail, want to meet up at any upcoming industry events I'll be at, or just because you want to chat!

Hey everyone! My name's Vivek. I'm 19 and a college student. I'm an aspiring game developer from India. I've always been fascinated by games and loved playing them. I feel you can convey more things with games that you can do with movies and books combined. I started working on Unity 2 years ago and have published two games on the Play Store (I'm not proud of them). Hoping to share ideas and other stuff with you all!
Hi everyone my names Ryan, I'm a college student from Ireland currently studying game design in my 3rd year. I've loved every aspect of making games but feel I most at home coding C#, creating systems, designing and general unity use. I'm always ready for a challenge and always looking to learn more about unity and game making in general.
Hi friends, I'm an XR developer working in the advertising/tourism industry, as well as the producer/designer for a small graduate team making cool and edgy space games for millenials. My skills lie mostly in C# programming, game design and project management, but I can also identify the class of a shinkansen on command.
im a storyteller of games, and so on im from Iceland
Howdy. I started 3D modelling for the very first time 12 months ago, and practice it every single day in spare time for the pure reason of making my own game assets, as I wish to make story-based horror titles. I use Blender, Krita, Substance Painter, Unity and have dabbled with Unreal engine, Aseprite, and Gamemaker.
I'm very new with Unity, and don't know any real code due to asset creations taking a long time, but have been venturing more into learning the engine better.
hi, i'm a "jack of all trades" indie, i'm working on a small 2D pixel art game that i'm aiming to release it at fall 2019 or summer 2020. and it will be my first actual game project to ever be completed.... Unless it got deleted by my cat.
hello all, i'm a staff engineer/architect for day job, have been using Unity for several years to introduce XR and motion capture to the company to drive innovation. Participated in the #Unity2DChallenge and #NeonChallenge a while back to get some experience with all the unity tools.. Going to try to get a few gaming ideas off the ground and published to the playstore. my connect profile: https://connect.unity.com/u/rod-ellison looking forward to the dialog here!
Hello!! I'm Tabuu (real name Nick). I've been using Unity for a few years now, since Unity 4's late releases, I recall! I'm creating a fan game based on Super Smash Bros., with the subtitle "Feud"! I'm also using the project to teach myself everything, making me sort of a jack of all trades: I code, model, animate and even score my games 😃 After this project is done, I'm planning to move on and start a one-man indie "company?", I guess? Pleased to meet you all!
Hey everyone, just call me matcha. I’m a senior computer science student and I’ve been developing games for about a year now (but I’ve been programming for much longer!). I’m currently working on a 3rd person shooter for my year-end capstone and it is set to release in the fall. I’ve become somewhat of a specialist in 3D Animation so feel free to ask for and share tips on Unity’s Animator Controller!

Last year I founded my small digital studio called Pathfinders where we offer tailored solutions to our clients, including AR/VR. It was hard considering the current economic situation and my age, but at the present being almost 1 year old everything is starting to work out.
I'm working there not only as the main dev but also as the producer/pm and directly with the clients since it's just me making teams for each project we get (it's exhausting!)
We landed some good projects for Chevrolet and General Motors for a small local event and participated in a few projects for the government.
Here is our web (atm only in spanish for anyone interested in seeing a bit about me and my startup):
http://www.pathfindersstudio.com/
Right now I'm also working as a Unity professor on the college I studied.
Glad to join the community!

Hope to hear from developers around the world and see what people are working on!

Hello, everyone. My typical internet name is tiger, I really love tigers 😛 .
I have recently graduated with a Bachelors in Computer Science and was part of a intern research project using the Unity3D engine, this was the defining moment - a realization that I love making games. I primarily make Doom games using the GZDoom engine while focusing on OpenGL specific features. As of right now, I am designing a small PK[3|7] compiler using PowerShell - should be hitting the first milestone in a few days. My primary focus is programming, I mainly stick to the C family as I am more comfortable with that language family.
I do plan to continue making some Unity games in the future and already have ideas for small games. Thank you for your time and I hope to see everyone make some really cool stuff!

Hello there
I'm Jean-Gobert (Jango does just as fine), been using unity for 7 years now, yet have to release any game though 🤷 what can I say, I just love to experiment stuff and my never-ending curiosity prevents me from focussing on getting something concrete done. Yet I've been teaching Unity in college for 3 years now and loving it. Currently toying around with ML (hypetrain en route) and catching up on latest versions of unity (been stuck on 5.x, boy have things changed). I have an undying love for Scriptable Objects and my pet peeve used to be the absence of zoom in the animator controller... dang got to find a new one now.

Hello, my name is Huy Minh (Yes, that's the first name) and I have many projects, one of which is a point-and-click adventure video game. I studied Game Design and have known Unity for at least 7 years, though sadly I haven't made anything yet and have simply been studying it. Sadly I'm a very imaginative person so I work on many projects at the same time, only working on the game every now and then ^^;
I have a twitter, but there's nothing to show of the game yet, I'm afraid.

Hi
Hello. My name is Dave. I've been fooling around with programming languages since I was a kid at my local community college's CompSci summer camp. (Yes, that's a thing.) I have a problem: I start a lot of projects and never finish them. Having so many ideas is a curse. Still, I do enjoy taking part in the occasional game jam, and then I actually have something to show off.
Anyway, I like to post my musings on Mastodon here: https://mastodon.technology/@mowdownjoe

Ahoyhoy everyone, my name's Tomer. I'm a programmer by trade, dabbling into game design and generally trying to do what I can to improve my skills and make it up in the world. I've worked with smaller, local companies here in Texas and did some projects on my own, most noticeably a board game that I made in college that somehow got lucky enough to be published. I'm down to just do whatever, whether you need help with programming, some eyes on a prototype/demo, or want to make a whole new game.

Hey, I am Dirk from Germany. I am professional software developer (Java, PHP, Lua, JavaScript, C#, iOS). I started programming in 1982 on an amazing Atari 800 😂 , because I wanted to know how to make such games I played every day. 😛 A few years later my teachers asked me what I want to do professionally and I told them I want to make video games. You can imagine what they have answered. "Making video games is not a job." 😦 Today I know who was right. In 2017 I started again making games as a hobby and to releax from my sometimes boring daily work. I love every single hour using Unity. 😍 Currently I am working on a space racing game and it's so much fun. I wish I had more time to work on the game.

Hello. Been using Unity for a while now. Just fun to make stuff with. Don't think I've ever finished anything, and that's okay for me. It helps me unwind from work sometimes.
At last, an official Unity server! I'm a student who's been studying computer science for a few years, and I've been dabbling in Unity for about 3 years now. Though I dream to become a game designer, most of my gamedev work is almost entirely programming.
Hi all! I'm graphic design student from Spain 😃
I finished my first degree (building engineering) 4 yeras ago but I noticed that it wasn't my dream profession, so I decided follow my dream: try to work in videogames 😉
Since that time I've done some Unity courses (2D, 3D and VR). Also I tried, with two friends, to submit a VR game for the Playstation Talents here in Spain. Although we didn't have luck ;(

I am not good at art or animations thus most of the prototyping I do utilizes geometric shapes that don't require animation.

hi, I m using unity personal, Should I using unity 2019 or 2018?
this really isn't the place for help requests. you're supposed to introduce yourself here. Try asking in #💻┃unity-talk
Hello, I'm new in this community and in unity general. I'm below average if you consider programming knowledge, but I want to learn SOMETHING.
"below average" is probably not true considering that most people aren't programmers
I'm a veteran game developer with experience over 20 years having worked on all kinds of games from various posts across multiple platforms, PC, PS2, PS3, PSP, PSV, Wii, DS, Mobile ,as a 3D Artist, Art Director, Producer, Executive Producer for Zynga. I have worked on various products based on well known IPs such as Gothic, Spellforce, The Guild, Mafia Wars, and various Original IPs such as Darkfall Online and more. Now working on a very ambitious location based historical VR project, that will transport guests in times long gone and tell stories long forgotten. I love Unity for its versatility and speed.
Hey everyone! I'm also a veteran game developer with 15 years experience. 14 of those years were spent at Blizzard Entertainment with 12.5 on World of Warcraft. I've worked on Brown box live, and every expansion up until BFA. I'm a generalist that specialized in VFX and project management. I'm currently a free agent dabbling hard in VRChat modding for funsies.
Hey Everyone, i'am earning my daily bread since 2 Years with Unity, working in a freelancer Team of 5 People. We Love Unity very much and make lots of different Applications with it.
Not sure I ever did an introduction. I'm Adam. Ive been an embedded software engineer for a Department of Defense contractor since 2013. Life is different when your hardware will never be connected to the internet for updates. My daily life is usually c and c++, depending on if I'm writing kernel stuff or user space. I'm about to weeks down the unity rabbit hole and am enjoying it so far. I'd like to learn more about common patterns and best practices in unity. As well as everything on the modeling / materials / vfx and shaders side.
Hi there! I'm a Technical Environment Artist (quite a mouth full) focusing on world building editor tools and graphics. You can find most of my unfinished and barely finished work here 😃 https://twitter.com/_staggart_

Hi everyone! :)
I'm Julian, indie dev and also part artist. (not a good one though)
Mostly into programming but would love to get better at 3D modeling and handpainted stylized texturing. Prototypes are what I do every now and then. So far I made a RTS, Top Down Space Multiplayer Shooter (like (Dark Orbit), an FPS and now my latest project is a complete game. So far I got the basic mechanics and struggle a bit with the artistic side of things. If there is someone that would love to see more about the project just send me a DM. :)
I'm also a teacher for game programming in Germany. If you would ask me for a book recommendation I would pretty much suggest "The power of Habit" from Charles Duhigg.
Have a great day
Julian
Hey folks,
I'm Mike, founder of Perfect Minute Games (http://perfectminutegames.com) and day jobber at Celtx (http://celtx.com).
I'm a programmer, game designer, and writer. I've been building prototypes of various projects for a few years now, and was programmer on a non-Unity game last year. Hoping to finish my first Unity release later this year.

Hello Everyone, I am Garth. I worked as a math teacher for 7 years until last year, when I decided to take some time off and develop my dream game. It all started with Ben Tristam's udemy course on the Unreal Engine. I spent the summer finishing that course, then in October-December I developed and published a small android game called Calio's Journey on Android. Now I have started a more serious project: an RPG game with lots of content generated at runtime. I found the Unreal Engine architecture to be too restrictive for me, so I switched to Unity. I hope to get a working prototype of this game done by the end of April, wish me luck 😃
Have fun @median dome
Hello @median dome
Hello everyone, i am a former CS student, but dropped out because it wasnt for me, more of a hobby thing. I still do little programming, 3D stuff and such when i have spare time. i have a idea of finding like minded people who might be interested in doing a small game with me, for learning purposes mostly, so feel free to contact me. As for my skills, as i said, i have a little experience in everything, but mostly programming and game design (my CS school was game dev related)
Nice, nice.
How's it goin everyone. My name is Drew and it's sorta the opposite case for me haha I graduated undergrad w/ Biology but am in my first year of a CS Masters program (technically second year of this specific program I was in). Took a year off after graduating and figured out I liked programming more than whatever it was that I was originally planning to do, so here I am. I am a programmer and a pixel artist. My main experience with Unity was with a 2D Affective platformer I made in my HCI class last year. I just recently picked up Unity again to start working on a 2D top down platformer/RPG as a way to spend my free time from doing school projects (yes, take a break from programming with more programming!) Who knows, hopefully this becomes a full project someday. I'll at least be satisfied once I get the overworld mechanics to work. At least I have someone else doing the art this time around.

If you have any questions about web or game development you can pm me on Reddit (/u/wlwl2/).
Hey all, I'm Elliott, based in London, been building games for a while now, started out with Flash and ActionScript back in the day, for the last few years I've been working exclusively with JavaScript and TypeScript (shoutout Phaser). Unity's always been on my radar and I've dipped in and out a bit but finally decided to jump in and learn it!

Names Toxic - Aka Steve-. But call me which ever. I am a Indie developer focusing mostly on the composition of soundtracks for games and environment/level designs. I am however, capable on other fields too so overall just a average generalist. I am still in the learning process and recently went into freelancing to hopefully get a foot into the world of the talented, creative industry, recently graduated a couple of years back on a course related to this subject to get my started and been learning ever since I finished, so hope to learn some new things I haven't tried before and get to know some new folk!.
Sup. Name's grel. I'm an adult trying to learn something new, technology has been always my passion, from PC building, to programming, to machine learning. I love everything related to technology. I'm trying to learn C# right now to help a friend out in a quite ambitious project he's working on. Other than that, I'm pretty normal. Live in Aus, 6 years of experience in C++. Started programming in middle/high school.

Hi guys. I'm currently a student focusing on programming. I wish to be a part of the game development industry and stumbled upon Unity in my quest for this goal. I'm just trying to absorb as much knowledge as I can. I 'm passionate about game development and programming in general (I'm even teaching teaching myself a couple programming languages). I hope to get along with everyone here and pardon me if I start asking a bunch of random questions.

Hello! I'm a 3D animator and general designer currently working on a racing game. Been in the gaming industry in one way or another for about 3-4 years. Pretty open to talking about whatever, but as much as I like Unity, there's a lot that I still need to learn, so I'll probably be asking a lot of questions.
Hey everyone! I have been a programmer for too many years to want to count. This is my first serious attempt in game development. Most everything else I have programmed have been PLC's, business apps, automation control systems, etc. I figured it was finally time to put my programming skills to the test with something I enjoy! I was using that other engine... What a disaster. I am currently getting my feet wet with a simple platformer using Corgi Engine. So far so good! I am sure that I will have some questions, but I figured I would take a look around and make sure I wasn't asking the same thing that has probably been asked a thousand times before. Wish me luck!
Hi guys!

Since I never introduced myself...
I am a C# programmer currently living in Las Vegas, Nevada but grew up in Pensacola, Florida. I have a bachelor's degree in computer science. I have been using Unity off and on since Unity 4.x days. I am currently working on a game for iOS and Android using Unity 2018.3. My specialties are cloud computing and web development, but as of late have been brushing up on game development. The games I have been playing as of late are Apex Legends, Yakuza Kiwami, Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition, Valkyria Chronicles, and Azur Lane playing between PC, Nintendo Switch, and iOS. I also play around with Clip Studio Paint, Maya LT, Photoshop, and GarageBand.

Hi all, Paul from Minnesota, USA here. My career is in digital marketing but I rediscovered gamedev as a hobby about 6 months ago and have been working diligently on my 2d platformer in the evenings ever since. Pretty amazing to see how far Unity (and the indie scene) has come over the last few years 😃

Howdy! I'm a 14 year old, hobbyist game developer. I started getting into Unity at around the age of 12, when I was making a voxel sandbox game. I made a couple of completed games and currently have a couple more in development! Both of which are multiplayer. :p
Btw, I never knew this Discord server existed. Whoops..
it's pretty new 😃

Welcome @spiral obsidian!
So young! I want to a conference a few years ago, that the youngest Unity certified dev ever was at :O
12 years old >.<
Hey all! I've been in this Discord for a bit but haven't gotten the chance to introduce myself. I'm a Unity Certified Programmer, hobbyist, and instructor at a local school in North Carolina (USA). I've been working with Unity Since 2014 and have loved every second of it. I currently am working on a small children's game for IOS and Android, though I have done a few projects in the past that weren't published. Looking forward to getting to know some of you! :)
Sup! I'm a 24 y.o. game design masters student from Germany. I've been into making video games since 2005 and am slowly working towards all the effort paying off. I'm a self-taught generalist working with all kinds of design ideas and art styles, clean and dirty code, music and video/motion graphics and people of course. Been working with Unity since 2012 and am using it daily during my studies since 2014 (did a Bachelor in Game Design as well). Kinda grew on me, that thing.
Hi everyone. My name is Levi Moore. I am from Denmark and is working at Zero Rare. I have mainly been programming Android games and small editor tools. I am currently working on Project Planner in the Asset Store. I discovered the discord community today and are looking forward to spending time here.

Hi there! I'm an unemployed junior dev from Seattle, and I've decided to take the opportunity to prototype the first idea I've had that's worth stealing. It's a fast-paced multiplayer game that doesn't really fit in a genre, and I'm pretty excited about it. Nobody rational expects to ship a hit, but this project has a better shot of turning a half-decent profit than anything else I've ever done.
I spent my free time for a few months filling a notebook, and now I'm powering through the prototype. I think I'm a few weeks from teasing it, and a couple months from Kickstarter. I'm not sure what took me so long to join Discord (and longer to join this server) but here I finally am, ready to join the ranks of people who make some money at this!
Hello! My name is Thomas. I'm a 27 year old from Poland. Right now I work as a programmer at Artifex Mundi, primarily on mobile games. I'll try to hop in here from time to time and help someone if I can.
Hi everyone! I am long time gamer since the days of C64 and game designer, who happens to know a little bit of everything required for game development. As of recently publisher on asset store too, with my first asset ever. Just as I like playing PC games I very much enjoy making them as well, despite being one very very exhausting line of work :)
Beside working with Unity, I am also main designer behind FOSS project Limit Load, arcade flight simulation (in spirit of old games like Wings and Strike Commander).
Hello, I'm Fluxed I design large 3D, high-poly games for them to be developed. (I'm a game designer)
I have various concepts, which I aim to work tirelessly alongside professional teams and individuals to bring into function.
I have recently had a spell of bad luck in which I was taken on by a company which disbanded due to lack of professionalism from the funding owner, which meant I couldn't hire experienced staff.
Hi all, Vojtěch here, 3d artist from Czech Republic. My portoflio (long no update) https://vojtechlacina.com. Learning Unity and mainly C# coding , I'd like to be able to put together small logical game and then try something more complex

Hello. My irl name's David, but friends call me fire ( as from fireheart ). I sometimes name myself FireHeartSK ( SK going for SkyNet ) but that doesn't matter at all lol. I've started coding since I discovered Scratch. A block-code based game platform. I spent 2 years in scratch using code blocks. Then I moved to the US where I signed up for a coding class at my school. This platform was actually called " Codesters " and it's such a great place to start off your coding journey. This platform used actual code, but you had a toolkit where you could check what every command does. I got bored of it pretty quick so I only spent around 5 months and now I am finally moving to my goal: Unity or Unreal Engine 4. I first tried UE4 as I knew that it had better graphics but it turned out to be rlly laggy on my computer plus that I don't really like Epic Games' programs. So I moved to Unity. This is my second day of trying to learn Unity and it's actually going pretty smooth. Before I tried learning Unity but failed, and then today I found this gorgeous tutorial that explains C-Sharp or C# very very in detail and well. It's called " Learn C# In One Video: Unity C# Scripting Tutorial For Beginners " and it's like 4 hours long if you wanna check it, do it. But just so you know it's not made by me lol. Anyways, that's my journey till now. Maybe I'll update it sometime? Probably not, but if I do, I'll probably have some really interesting things to say haha
Hi, I am finn, and I am a beginner in Unity, and need to learn c#.

Hope everyone has a good day!
Hope this is enough
hi james
Could anyone teach me some basic c#? and has a mic because it is hard to learn when you dont have a mic
Hi there!
My name is Andrey and I'm a game engine developer from Russia with 10+ years of experience. I'm interested in game jams, game development, graphics and music. I use Unity for my personal projects and for selling assets on Unity Asset Store.
Skills:
- Game Engines (Unity, Unreal Engine 4, custom-made engines, OpenGL, DirectX 11, HLSL, GLSL, CUDA)
- Gameplay Logic (C++, C#, Lua, custom-made scripting languages)
- Third-party Integrations (COM, Steam, Scaleform, Kinect, Houdini, various motion trackers)
- Game Audio (OpenAL, FMod, WWise)
I do dev streams on Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/aviktorov), mostly about game development but sometimes I stream video games as well. You're welcome to join 😃
hi everyone, Ive been using unity for a little while, coming from a Flash background previously. Got a degree in fine art and discovered I liked code via director & flash. Worked on a many different type of projects from forensics to live entertainment pieces. Currently looking at VR with the Go and Quest.
Hello. I'm Gabe. I have been an exhibition designer for the last 4 years, and before that a professional game developer for 5 or 6 years. I worked on pre-production concept art & design, along with production 2D & 3D assets (UI, Levels, & Props), and VFX. I have worked for Volition Inc., Blazing Lizard, & December Studios as a video game dev, and at Hasbro Inc. as a board game dev. It's been 7 years since I last made a game and want to pursue some of my own projects.
Currently I am teaching myself C# with The C# Player's Guide and various Unity tutorials.
I be happy to help answer any questions if I am able.
*Software (3DSMax, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Substance, & Aseprite).
@meager cipher i like it your channel. Do you have youtube channel?
@grizzled charm I do, however it just duplicates what I have on Twitch
There is an Official Unity Discord? Why have I not heard of this before?
Hi, I am Bxil (pronounce this as you will), computer science student. I am looking forward to conversing here!

Hi I’m DF
I’m a high schooler wanting to learn unity
I hope I get some useful knowledge here ;>
Hi everyone, Adam here from Pixel Mystique. I have industry experience as a Game Designer and Producer. I am currently focusing on my 🎥 YouTube channel, providing tips and tutorials. I am also making devlogs for my upcoming game - What The Hex 🧙♂️
Hello! I'm Ashley, or otherwise known as FlamingKermit across various platforms. I am an aspiring Developer. I am currently learning Unity on my own time. My favorite games are Role Playing (Final Fantasy, Monster Hunter, etc), but I am slowly diving into Shooter/Battle Royale games thanks to Apex! Im hoping to meet some awesome people here and learn all that I can!
Yo. My name is Michael Shaw. I run a solo indie studio called Flippin' Fun Video Games, or FFVD Games for short. I do a little bit of everything. I'm here to learn new things and help other people make some awesome things! You can find out more about me via my website: https://www.ffvdgames.com
Hi all!, I'm Moritz Wundke. I'm the core tech lead at Playspace (https://meet.playspace.com/). I've been working in the games industry for longer than I can tell. We use a wide range of engines but unity is our main focus in the company.
Hi, i'm Simon, but i use Seeth as a Nickname, i'm from Argentina and i'm a C# Junior and a Unity Junior in general, i'm expecting to get a comfortable stay with the community in general, see you.
Helloh .. I am Kristin and I make Turorials I share on Twitter (https://twitter.com/itsKristinSrsly) and YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCHg9mt6Tu6f-WCF4gf5oyQ?)
Good morning. My name is David, and I lumped myself in with the Generalists because I've done a little of a lot of things—audio, music, modeling, texturing, design, etc.—but not actually enough of any of them to amount to anything. "Generalist" was the best fit because there was no "Clueless Nüüb" rank. My most common activity within the Unity editor is staring at the blank canvas and thinking to myself "oh crap where do I begin"
Heya. I used to work as a client-facing network security and forensics SOC analyst, but left the position to go to school to get some credentials for my passion. My weakest points are 3D math and shader languages, but I try my best. My favourite is lowpoly/retro 3D stuff, but I love everything. I'm best at scripting and modeling/animation/character design. 🇨🇦
Salaam everyone, I am a 16 year old software developer from Pakistan.
g'day mates, am Kaleidox / burdoto. I mostly do discord bots, also do those on commision (mostly for free); and some api wrappers.
check out my homepage for the connections i have: http://kaleidox.de/

I make bad games. Moving in with a great 2D artist soon. Let's see how that goes????
I’ve decided I’m making a point and click game for fun. I’m a bad 3D modeler, a good sculptor, a middlin 2d artist and a complete Unity Noob. Here to learn.
Hello everyone,
My name is Yash Jaiswal. I am from India. I want to be a game developer.
Right now am pursuing Bachelor in engineering in information science.
I studied Java when I was in highschool.
I made some GUI and have a beginner experience in SQL. I started learning kotlin thinking that it would help me in game development. Now I am lost. I don't know what to learn and where to start. I would appreciate if someone guide me and tell what exactly I have to learn and what to do so that I can be a fulm fledged game developer. My dream is to create an AR game like Ordinal scale. I watch anime and I get inspired from them. I also develop an initial plot for the games I want to develop. I am looking forward to everyone's help. Nice to meet you all.
Hello everyone! I am game developer, working in Unity from about over an year now. Hoping to learn, help and collaborate with fellow developers 😄
Hello I own a studio that specializes on 3D asset creation for videogames. We are currently working on our own game and decided to use Unity for such project.
Well hello to yourself. I am definitely an incredibly lonely high schooler that probably doesn't need friends. Have been experimenting with Unity for a little while, but now I'm moving on to prototypes. Big Pokemon nerd (despite never playing a main franchise game) and definitely knowledge with Photoshop
Hi I figured i may as well figure this program out in hopes of finally quitting my monotonous job in exchange for somthing i can find joy in. Currently watching tutorials and trying to use context clues to figure out what these foreign alien sentences these mutants are saying in the videos.
@manic gust Let me know if you have questions. Full time senior unity dev here on 40 man team.
❤
Good luck on your journey, @manic gust 😃
I’m an aspiring game developer, I like pixel art. And there’s not too much else to say
Hey Guys! I'm Sebastian from Poland. I just started adventure with unity and vuforia and hopefully I will find some answers in here 😃
Hello!
I am Maximilian from Germany, 17 Years old. I joined this discord because I want to learn how to make games, so I need to learn to use an engine like Unity and now I am here. I've never used any game engine before and don't have any experiece, so it's going to be a rough start. I am looking forward to understand a bit about game making and programming to make a nice little vieo game 😄
Hi. I'm Plight, or more commonly, DeflatedPickle. I'm an 18-year-old weeb dev. And whilst mainly a programmer, I've put a couple years into 3D modelling and animation. I tend to write dumb software, but I've been throwing around a couple ideas for games.
I'm here to help, learn and generally chat.
If you're interested in what I make, all my stuff is open-source on GitHub:
https://github.com/DeflatedPickle
And I post less formal updates on some stuff on Twitter:

Hey hows it going, I'm just a junior, about to be senior in high school. I took a basic introduction to computer principles class, enjoyed it even though it was pretty basic and plan on keeping it up. Next year I'm gonna take the AP class for computer principles, Game Design, AG welding, and join the cyber patriots club, in hopes to become Iron man. Wish me luck lol!
Hey, I'm Andrew (def. not a pen name). I was known for being confident in my knowledge in coding at school(Grade 7 to present) despite having low grades (because of deadlines, not because i'm dumb[cause that's false]) and having the ambition of wanting to develop games. I plan to apply to schools that teach stuff about game development and i aspire to be the next Todd Howard(def. a joke). I'm quite shy, but i'm interested in leaving my comfort zone and i like challenging myself. I'm here because a friend recommended this to me.
@wheat brook Save your money, "video game schools" are a scam
no, not "those" kind... don't worry... i might plan to apply to art schools or other cool legit schools. i'm not that young and dumb... thx for worrying anyways @turbid plank i'll definitely take care of myself
I come from a video game school and I definitely don't regret it.
Hi all, I'm Catachan, I'm a C++ developer full time, with a little bit of history dabbling in 3D modeling an animation. I'm looking to do some experimentation with using VR to simulate motion in zero gravity for a game I've dreamed of making for close to 10 years now.
Hello, my name is Johnathan Mahones and I am 24 years old. I have been a gamer since 1999/2000 while owning a SNES and Sega Genesis. I am currently a college student in Brooklyn (I study at CUNY City Tech planning to take video game design classes, formerly used to be at Kingsborough until I transferred this year) and I am in the process of starting a video game development/publishing company this year and I am extremely new to creating games in Unity and Unreal Engine 4. I am heavily inspired by Phil Spencer from Xbox, Cyberstep from Japan, and Nexon Korea.
I hope to make a lot of Unity and Unreal Engine 4 friends in this discord.
Hello everyone! I'm Miley and I recently joined Unity Technologies in Helsinki in the Ads and Innovations team. In my free time I like to dabble around in the Unity Engine with small projects just to learn new stuff. One of my goals for this year is to release something made with Unity that I can be proud of!
Hello. I'm kimc. I have done a few years of professional game development in the early 2000 and the rest of the time in corporate environment away from programming. As of late 2018, I've decided to do indie full time. It's risky, but I have a good biz partner to balance our skills set as a studio. Hope to unleash our game to the world.... soon. 😅
Hello everyone :). I'm Emil and im new to Unity. I have a great pasion for games and decided to learn more about making and creating games and eventualy create my own game. I just staredt with Unity 3D and know it's going to be a tough learning curve but am looking foward to it 😃
@slow beacon , I just started also! Let me know if you want to work on something together sometime!
I ve just started , I know nothing !!! the only thing I remember is that I m good in physics and programmation

ENG: Hello, I'm Juan Pablo, from Chile, I studied graphic design in college and I learned programming and animation in a self-taught way, and I've been playing with Unity since version 4.2, I love the area of procedural animation, rigging and game feel. I am currently developing a game with some friends of stealth type and platforms. a hug to all!
I just wanna learn everything. Call me Manboy.
Hello! I've just picked up Unity, eager to learn something that isn't an rpg
Heya,
i'm kenma and currently 2nd year college studying computer engineering. this year, we'll be exploring game development using unity. i am literally new on this field and would like to know the basics and what i need to reach my goal. we need to submit a 2d and 3d game by the end of our semester.

Hi everyone,
I'm Ewan and am currently trying to learn unity and the whole c# that comes with that. I like video games and currently wanting to start on a 2D platformer!
Hello i'm David and I hope to learn how to use unity to make games of my own design but i still got a long ways to go with the program and the whole C# thing but i wont give up
Hi I'm Farhan. Finished college and learning Unity to pursue a game dev career.
Man, so many new folks. Welcome aboard!
Hello, I'm Fabian, a 21 y/o media communication and computer sciences student.
With 2+ years of experience with the Unity engine and C# programming, I discovered my passion for Game Development early on in my studies and was immediately fascinated by the possibilities.
For a year now I have been working as a student assistant on exciting projects and leading the development of a VR Experience in cooperation with the European Commission.
I'm Kreed. New game developer and learning unity fast. Need some more courses to take. DM me if you guys have any suggestions.
I have experience in Roblox development and Website Development (HTML, some CSS and JavaScript.)
I'm Alex. I'm new to game development but I'm really eager to get started. I like working in a team and in my opinion teamwork is the key to success. I'm really open to new things. Also some advise for a beginner will come in handy.
video game schools are definitely not a scam, especially digipen... seattle area companies generally try their best to hire digipen grads
There are definitely some scam schools, and there are definitely some good schools. but that discussion should go in another channel
I have been a c# programmer for Unity for over 3 years now. Examples of a few fun projects I have made: https://virenz.itch.io/balance-it and https://virenz.itch.io/worldwar3-simulator Am now looking for something more serious and commercial to work on, can start immediately. I would be willing to work for a lower rate because I am trying to expand my portfolio.
@bold flame awesome 😃 hope evrything is going good for you.
@solar kayak Those graphics are insane man
Not sure if I should introduce myself, introductions are weird. :P
@near kraken Go for it!
Well, I'm a Software Engineer and Researcher and professionally do all kinds of interactive media installations. I've been doing hobby game dev stuff for many many years now. I'm kind of our local evangelist always playing around with new technologies and features. Have been working with Unity for about 8 years now. I've been on the inofficial Unity IRC channel, all kinds of Unity related Discords for years and have just rejoined this yesterday. Sometimes my activities on those are high sometimes rather low, I usually prefer real time conversations. I'm always looking for fun side projects or interesting problems to solve. :P
Anything on top of that would reveal too much information. ^^
@bold flame awesome 😃 how is everything going for you.
What's up boys. I'm a computer engineer that works developing web sites in .net. I don't have any experience in Unity nor game development, but I've been doing some tutorials and so far i'm loving it. I think an addiction might be developing.
Hello fellow developers. I’m Thomas, 40 years old from Norway. I started programming games in 1989, in BASIC on my MSX computer. Since then I’ve made 25 games for various clients, prototyped about 35 games in my spare time and released one. Today I work for Apt Games, and we’re currently working on Terror Squid, an arcade shoot’em up. https://terrorsquid.ink
Hey guys! I'm a 3d artist, level designer, sometimes I do textures, I'm a bittt of a generalist, but you don't really have a choice when working indie... I'm currently working at Studio Anjin, creators of the Midnight Station. Right now we're focused on a game called Nanokin! You can check out the twitter page here:
https://twitter.com/StudioAnjin
Hello everyone. I do game development just for the fun of it. A bit of a generalist as well.
Hey folks, my name is Sean. I primarily create low poly (3D) static or simply animated environmental assets. I've only worked on one game (Toribash), creating cosmetic items. If you like some of my art and might be looking for an environmental artist, feel free to DM me.
www.artstation.com/seanamundsen
Toribash was fun, for a bit.
Hey everyone, I'm an inspiring game developer/game designer and im currently working on a game eventually I want to make one of my dream games, which is if you are familiar minecraft factions on a way bigger scale :D, currently working on a 2d platformer though if you are interested in working (free of pay since we are all doing this for experience) then slide me a DM 😉
Hello people! Just joined the server today. Graduated uni about 3 years ago and been programming in XNA / MonoGame ever since. Recently switched over to Unity and loving it 😄
Hello everyone! My name is Patrick, I am the owner over at Relic Star Games. I make board games and tabletop games, but my main forte is working in the 3D world. Welcome @spiral obsidian and I mean it!
Hello, I am working solo on a project http://wildorigin.online/ and trying to help 30 million people by 2030 with skills learned through my game for helping people have better interactions.
Hi everyone! My name is Enrico. I'm from Germany and I work with unity for a few years as a hobbyist. My main strength is programming and I would like to work with and meet new people to make some creative games. 😁
No creative people here, move along! :P
im a new indie dev, currently working on a small scale JRPG with puzzles. I am a programmer and i made custom tools for myself and i love editor scripting quite a lot
this is one of the tools i made which i am pretty proud of although it's not perfect 😄
nice!
Hi nice to met u all.. just started unity the other day making my first 2d game. Ive experimented with game design in the past using flash actionscript but this is my first time serious on unity.
Glad to be apart of this community
Hi! I'm enderlook and I am studing design and development of videogames. I'm just in the first term making my first game. Nice to meet you.
Hello enderlook! Good luck man.
Greetings! I've been around the indie development scene for some time now, almost 5 years, but most of it has been self taught stuff. I'm still in high school and not many of my friends or many classes at my school off game development or c# scripting so I've been mostly just working on my own for a long time. Any tips that anyone can give me are great! Nice to meet you all!
I am Wisdom, 18 years old from germany and my hobby is 3D Art. Thats it ._.
apparently i have not introduced myself.
i'm june, 15/f/eu, i'm semi decent at using unity and programming in c# (unity), i also know basic animation. hello everyone! :3
You're not 15/f, you are obviously a male troll face according to your avatar.

Hi @cerulean solar You can find a lot of resources in the pinned messages in #💻┃unity-talk including detailed game creating walkthroughs.
thank you for the info
@near kraken dang, ya got me.
I'm good that way.
Hello I'm here too I guess. I want to make something of a 2d platformer for mobile but first I have to procrastinate for thirty years.
@spiral obsidian welcome!
Hello 😃 I'm making a 3d tactics game. I joined to ask a question about a troublesome bug but I fixed it before the 10 minute wait window was over 😅 I guess I'll stick around anyway I never realized Unity would have an official Discord server.
hi im just here to learn to make my videogame :p
oh shoot i didn't realize this channel existed hold on :L
sup! i'm eblu. i'm an aspiring game developer/student and have a bit of experience with C# and unity. i have a bunch of ideas floating in my head at the moment (there's this huge 3D platformer that i've been thinking about for like six years) but i'm starting small with a rhythm-based top-down shooter that i'm experimenting with.
hi all
i am.. umm, not sure, just random people trying to kill the time in here
someday, i'm thinkin bout.. a game engine..
which one is better.. Unreal, Cry, Unity, Frostbite, etc
and then the sources.. open or closed..

"depend" and "relative" word..
i dunno, i just wanna talk with u guys ^_^
Not the right channel @devout merlin Go to #497872469911404564 and ask the same question!
I guess I should finally introduce myself. Hi! My name is Zach, I am 21 years old, and I am from Atlantic Canada. I recently Graduated from College, with a degree in programming. I've been using Unity for probably 6 months now, and been watching Brackeys videos for a couple of years now. I even did a research project on Unity, where we had to do a 2 hour presentation. Now that I've graduated college, I plan to really start focusing on the games I want to make (I have about 7 that are somewhat mapped out), so you will probably start seeing me around here!
Hey I'm a 23 year old guy that have been trying to learn code on and off for years. Started off with C# first time years ago and are currently doing my first real commitment to learning code. I have summer vacation atm and try to code every day. So far so good on day 8 now. Been watching Brackeys and Derek Banas on YouTube quite a bit lately and are trying to make a clicker style game by my own within the month based off of what I learn in tutorials and grab bits here and there to learn what I need to know.
Wanted to join so I can talk to people about the topic, and read natural conversations about it to learn more
@sudden juniper good luck! I'm the same age as you.
@turbid plank Thanks! I hope I'm not starting off too late, haha
Not at all
Hey, I am your worst nightmare! a games industry suit xD however as of late I have been trying to find my love of the art of game design again. I decided to join to see if there where any like-minded programmers who would be up for making a demo/portfolio game I can do pretty much everything visually related.
Does anyone have any recommendations on where I could look? I noticed there is no LFG channel here.
(https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/597693793562656769/597708903156940800/unknown.png an example of an environment I'm currently working on)
There are official channels to look for groups on unity connect. I generally think chat based platforms are bad for looking for people, it's usually just spam and only the latest messages are seen because nobody scrolls through it anyway.
Hi I love reading scientific papers on complicated stuff and turning it into simulations, lately Ive been working on overly complex bullet physics including all your typical bullet drag and yaw, a way overkill ricochet system and its all pretty work in process
Thanks @near kraken I'll check out unity connect, unfortunately I live in a area without gamejams so I am a bit limited to online connections :/
Hey folks, my name is Dusty, and I've been making video games for something like 15 years now. I started back in the days when Flash games were cool. These days I have my own company where I do contract work and work on my own projects. Someday I'll be able to hire employees and subcontractors, but I'm not quite there yet. My most recently released project is a tool for Unity called Trigger Me Timbers. (I'll post more on that in the #502171717544968212 channel). Speaking of which, I didn't see the asset store publisher role in the list of ranks, how does one acquire that role?
No clue, try "!rank Asset Store Publisher" maybe it works. ^^
!publisher @willow terrace
If you're an Asset Store publisher looking to apply that role to yourself, please DM @charred wagon with an image of your publisher dashboard to be added. It may take a day or so to get to your request, please be patient.
Hey all, I figured I should do a more formal intro. I'm not a developer, but I work a bit with App Review at Facebook, and I'm happy to be a resource for any questions people may have about the review process. I'm also hoping to learn more from you all about the development process!
I guess I'll do this even though I'm not important 🤔 Joined this Discord today. I've been doing professional C# development (non-Unity) for 12 years. I've done some Unity stuff on and off over the years but just started getting real serious in the last couple of months. If you have C# specific questions feel free to ask me. Unity-specific questions no-so-much lol.
Hi. I’m and artist and just started unity today. My sole goal is to learn enough adventure creator asset to publish an 80s themed point and click. I need a noob forum lol.
The Unity Forums are pretty dope for questions if you prefer asking within a subforum
Your questions would be welcome here too in the designated channels
Hi, I'm abby. I'm 18. I'm a perverted game developer. I'm a programmer and i love helping people. I've been using unity since unity 4. I haven't released anything yet. however, I'm getting closer and closer to finishing my first game.
Hi I'm Kubi, I'm actually a video editor and I do general post production stuff... I like to try all kinds of programs and I usually grasp them very fast. I like to make music on fl studio, models on zbrush and photography. I just realised I can bring all my talents together and maybe make a simple game, get a grasp of what's what and then maybe find myself a place in this industry. I already made a 2d platformer level without any UI or enemies in two days and I'll keep moving forward.
My name is William. I have several projects ready for release.
Hello, I'm Sean, I'm a game design and development graduate from the PH. I'm currently working for a content creation company but I would love to focus on game development later on. 😄
im tak, i only do intros to say that i don't do intros
So you do intros to do intros?
Anyome wanna be my friend?
Hi I'm Lazlo! 👋 I make Bolt.
Glad to be here!
Hello, Im MDev0, I make stylistic little games in c#
Hello
Hi, im sweetie, im dumb asf :-)))
Hi, I'm Evil Bob (my real name isn't bob and I'm not evil) and I just do little unity projects as a hobby 😃
Hey guys! I'm LLL but you can call me Larry. I do a whole lotta stuff including gamedev, music and art of all kinds. Gamedev primarily. I'm sorta new to Unity though, so I hope you guys don't mind me asking too many questions!
Hi Larry. Welcome to the Unity Discord! @steel raven
Hi everyone. I'm an a aspiring indie game dev up in Northern Canada. I'm working on a game right now called The Nine Circles. It is a Metroidvania game, loosely based on the Devine comedy. I'm really looking forward to having some of my questions answered. I also hope that I can help the community out if possible. I have been using Unity for about a little over a year now and just recently upgraded to Plus. It's a wonderful Engine although I have learned some hard lessons and probably lost 100s of hours of progress. I'm hoping with access to the hive mind here I can maybe save myself some stress and anxiety through the development of my game. If you are looking for a friend please feel free to add me. I'm always interested in meeting new like minded people. Cheers!
Hi all names Joe, use to be an 3D artist and Novice game designer. Life happened and now I am back to reclaim lost skills and learn new ones
@pulsar rock How cold does it get in the winter
To be honest it would usually get to minus 50 C for January and February. However the last few winters have been kinda tame I think we only got that low a few times this year. However in the Summer the sun never really sets. I live in the land of the midnight sun.
Hellooo0
Hey guys, I'm Hanu from India. I've been using unity for a year now and I'm trying to develop a 2D platformer as of now and want to develop a career towards game programming.
Hello everyone! I'm Diego, I am 26 years old and I'm from Honduras. Graduated from collegue with a degree in BA. I've been using unity for around 4-6 months. Learned coding in the U, but for various reasons (outside my control) leave that career...
BUT now I can retake my career and now on focusing on what I love, doing VIdeoGames so i'm gonna hangout around here! (willing to become a Game Designer or AI programmer)
PD: I suck in art.
@cold scaffold Welcome to "Hello world".
Didn't see the channel but i guess i could do my introduction in here:
Hello my name is pokemeta, i had been programming for about a year by now but i recently got into unity and to be honest i still don't understand a lot of things about it, i mainly have worked with c++, c#, html, css and php, i want to learn unity because it has been my dream to make my own videogame since i was 9 years old and now that i have general code knowledge i wanna make it come true.
One thing i would like to mention is that if for some reason i ask something simple or absurd at some point it may be because i made small desktop applications and not scripts for a engine before😅
@lime jacinth Thanks !
Whats up, I'm Duckie, been programming for about 5-6 years and using unity for 2. I'm a SE at HB, and am always trying to improve in various areas outside of my expertise
What's HB
HB studios
What's SE
Just the title classification they use, Software Engineer, for programmers (for the record, no I'm not saying I'm a certified SE under engineering)
I would say you don't have to be certified by a 3rd party to be a software engineer
I'm under that impression as well, that just seems to be a touchy topic for some individuals
People with expensive degrees and no experience trying to justify it
What’s up guys, they call me PeeWee. I’m 16 and I’ve been interested in 3D modeling and programming C# for the past 2 years, but never really got a good grasp of the programming part. I used to make vehicle mods for Unturned, and I like that art style a lot rn because it’s easy and simple. I finally bought some Udemy classes and am now on my way to making the next call of duty under a million dollar contract! 😉
Hi, I'm using Unity on Linux and was curious if I should state that every time I ask a question or has there been any talk about a Linux channel?
Hello! I am Jade. I'm trying to learn to code, design games and make stuff! I'm pretty new so I'm gonna ask lots of questions!
Hey everyone I was workin I'm in my lunch now so I'll tell you a bit about me and what I'm doing, I'm 29 from scotland I dont know anything about unity, c# or java. Hello all the peoples. I'm a 38 year old in Detroit, with some background in commercial art, music, video, development, and voice acting. I'm currently a UX researcher in my day job. I'm thinking my skillset might make me ideal as a solo-game maker, at least for starters. Been doing the research and want to give it a try. I have a dream of a map-based game but want to try a side-scroller first to get my "first game" out of my way. My real first game was an ASCII-based dungeon explorer type game I made in QBasic on a 286 when I was 14, but that's a story for another day.
Good day for everyone! My name's Joaquín, and I love learn from everything. Actually I'm learning Unity 3D, since two months, and searching for experiences and opportunities to learn more. I learn very quickly and I'm interested particularly in RPG Sandbox games, like Trove, Cube World. I'd enjoy to start a project with a group or have a job opportunity, or anything that expands my knowledge. Nice to meet you!
Hi everyone, my name is Alex Guillen, I'm a composer/sound designer new to games. I want to learn as much as I can about game design and would love to collaborate with anyone who needs some audio for their games. Check out my soundcloud here, https://soundcloud.com/sdguitarist
Hello my name is Gabe and I am an aspiring game dev in my own right. I have been looking at Unity as well as various other game engines to try and find a good starting point. One of my big dream projects is to create a a retro style 3D platformer with the look and feel of an N64 game but also taking advantage of modern hardware. I have also been learning how to use Blender for 3D modeling purposes. Almost 24 and currently employed at Wal Mart
Hello, my name is not hydro but you can call me hydro. I'm attempting to become a game dev by starting on the most ambicious project ever! But hey, I'm hella stubborn so imma push through lmao. The project is a mix between classic zelda games like alttp and other more recent indie games suchs as HLD. As you might see I kinda suck at coding but hopefully I'll learn quick enough!
wrong chat?
@subtle totem There's #archived-works-in-progress in the Showcase section.
Hello , I've been developing a mutliplayer game for some months now. Been handling everything. Graphics are low poly and the game is a hybrid between mount and blade and god of war . Got the core of it done, if anyone is interested in helping out DM or tag me

Hello ^^ I'm a French game developer and designer, both as a hobby, and I only recently got the opportunity to start using Unity to make better games. I'm currently still learning about a lot of things but I hope I'll be able to realize one of my project ideas by the end of the year (For now, I only made a simple "Dodge the blocks" game, courtesy of Brackeys' tutorials)

Hi. I am a student working on a top-down elemental dungeon crawler kind of game in Unity, using C#, with a few of my friends. I do coding for the game, as it is one of my strong points, and one of my favourite hobbies/activities to do. (The edit was to tell you guys what coding language we're using)
Hey, im a student/freelancer. Im doing everything between art and programming. Worked as an artist on Human Fall Flat. Also made some youtube tutorials about Blender. Happy to help beginners, but i dont think ill be able to answer more complex questions.

Hello everyone! My name is Zlatomir, 24, from Bulgaria. I'm a programmer and graphic designer. I'm here to look for a job or perhaps look for people for my project very soon.. 😃
Hello all. Software engineer by day, hobbyist by night. Got turned on to Unity by Rust a long time ago but am just now getting started with learning. hi friends 👋 currently a vr developer working with unity, in the middle of a game programming degree :) have a few years experience with unity and i've made a few games, looking to make the move from intermediate to expert unity programmer. nice to be here!
Where to begin well hello i'm Andrè aka snow been a gamer sins i was 6 years old i'm 31 now so that’s a long time really want to learn how to create my game. I have created picture using simple programs like paint so that should tell you that i'm a noob to well everything and that kids half my age know a lot more than i do. I have had an idea for a game for the last 5 year and it’s mostly a bunch of notes of the things i like and dislike about most of the games i have played and the kind of game i wish was out there. So if anyone could give me constructive advice or would like to help me pleas i would greatly appreciate it thank you.
I started on youtube @jaunty zenith roughly 7 years ago. I think key is to start with super simple ideas, and make sure you finish it even if it seems too small scale.
(like pong scale), once you get the hang of it you can decide how much time you want to dedicate to it, and what about your ideas need to be grafted to better fit a realistic scenario if you're working solo. (most people start wanting to make Mmo's / rpg's etc..).
Another thing that i think is essential, is if you are just starting there is no point re-inventing the wheel, there are some purists that say it's better to make everything you need yourself, i just don't see this as reasonable if you are starting out, you want to learn how it's done from people who do it on a professional level at least, break apart projects and see what makes them tick, don't go full zombie and just start flipping asset store packs.. but learning from them is gold in this day and age, with many example projects available for free / fair priced.
So to summarize, youtube and utilizing the asset store, in my opinion is best route.
Good luck!
I am mostly a 3D animator, been animating for 4 years and I can create very vividly realistic animations with a lot of time. I started learning unity about a month ago and I most enjoy making a survival game that has mechanics that be simulate real life. As well as that I can model and make texture, not the the extent of an expert, but I can create simple things that look realistic. My main inspiration for game making is the game; The Long Dark, the most realistic survival game to date, hence why I am developing a survival game. I am so determined to make it as close to real life as possible I've taken hours to research things in real life. Such as radiation, and quite a bit about physics and molecular structures, as well as chemical compounds.
hello, im a young unity maker and i dont make very good projects in unity, just some 2d stuff i guess, but i plan on making a 3d first person thing

Hey guys. I've been programming for a while but I've never used Unity before... it's unlike anything else I've done and I'm more than a little intimidated. Can anyone recommend some some good up to date written tutorials I can follow to get used to using the software, specifically regarding the process of working with Blender and Unity? I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing. Thank you
Start with Unity’s official tutorials https://unity3d.com/learn and the manual is also good
Hi everyone, my name's Paolo (sometimes known as Pabliz), I'm a Music Composer and Sound Designer investigating Generative Techniques for games and 3DAudio for VR. I have a indie rock and electronic music background, and I have a fall for the experimental and the adventurous. I'm looking forward to be proficient in Unity 3D since I'm not a programmer and have a hard time trying to do something elaborate (tutorials are scarce and more often than not they refer to old versions with broken code etc. - I'm way more proficient in Wwise or FMod for now). Looking for advice on how to do a great audio job using just Unity, while I'll begin taking C# class ASAP. Any help will be greeeatly appreciated! Cheers! 🙂
Hello there, I'm 13, and figuring out what I'm going to do with my life. I've decided to do something creative, and have devoted the next few years to finding what field suits me best. I'm leaning towards film-making, but developing games as a hobby, which is why I'm here. I'm here to learn, and figure this whole thing out. I have no background in anything technical, but am hoping to learn. Any and all help would be literally the coolest thing ever and very much appreciated. Thanks for reading! 🙃
That's great man, I started when I was just 13 years old too. You're on a good way!
Hi there. I'm a graphic designer learning a bit of animation and programming.
Hello! I'm a College Student from Chile managing and programming for a group of 7 people trying to joggle Classes and figuring out how to use Unity<3
Hello everyone! I'm a self-taught programmer primarily using Unity to make games of my own and also for clients. I can't believe it took me this long to find this Discord lol.
Hello everyone! I’m 34 years and a Java Enterprise Application programmer. I live in The Netherlands. My passion is playing games like Metroidvania and adventure games. My game time is reduced to a few hours a week, because I’m a father of 2 daughters. My live is currently busy with work and parenting. So I took the opportunity to make in my spare time my own game. After 1 year of unity experience I’m currently working (a month) on a 2D Metroidvania platformer. Inspired by Hollow Knight. My goal is to release it someday on Steam/consoles. It’s a big step but also a bucket list item. After I finished my game core elements I looking for collaboration with an artist/level designer/musician. Of course the profits will be shared. This is a big dream of me and I hope I will make it. So if you are interested or want to know more about it feel free to contact me. Cheers!
Hi guys, im a 3D artist glad to be here:

Hello everyone,
my Name is Tim. I am 23 years old. I work as a Softwaredeveloper since 2 Years now and beside the work I am doing by Bachelor in Applied Computer Sciences.
I started programming almost 10 years ago. I played World of Warcraft and I thought: Damn. This is Awesome. I want to learn how to to it. Then my journey began to learn about programming.
Last year I decided that I know enough to try game programming. So I paticipated at a Unity course on Udemy. There I learned some basics. Afterwards I started to work with some other people to work on a mobile game. Now I've got some more experience with unity. This is why I decided to dive deeper into this topic. Learning about more complex programming and graphics, because i am working on my goal to jump into the game industry.
If you want to know more, feel free to ask me.
Greetings, Tim!
Hi! I'm... really new to Unity and am learning C#. I'll try not to ask more questions and look most of them up but some things have me stumped. I have a friend helping me, but the graphics side of it isn't his forte. That's where all my questions are currently.
Hi everyone. I've been messing around with unity and c# for.... 4months now maybe. I've always wanted to make my own games. With rise of the AAA titles being nothing more then rehashes and the availability of free extremely good software like blender, krita, gimp, etc... I felt like I should turn one of my stories into something. I write alot, for the past 10 years I've been working on writing stories and what not. Unfortunately I stopped drawing in middle school and didn't pick it back up for..... probably 15yrs. So now it's the catchup game. Pretty much gotta learn everything and all the things. I want to make this a full time thing, I'm motivated and know exactly how I wanna do it. I just have to get there, hopefully meet some good people along the way.
Hi iam Ali iam an 3d model designer and animater

Heyo, my name is Lucas and i'm just some barebones indie dev, i developed on Game Maker 8.1 and GM:S 1.4 for fun for around 4 to 5 years, rarely ever completing a game (the single one i completed was an undertale fangame called YABTS, haha), but i have a better rig now and im investing my time in learning Unity. Best of luck to everyone, stay motivated!
Hey my peeps, I'm just a person who has been working on game development for a year now. I've been switching from engine to engine, so I finally decided to work on unity. I hope to make quite a few games and have fun in the meantime.
Hey I make maps for video games and started getting into making models a few months ago, I would like to get into making my own games some day.
Hello Peeps.
My name is Oliver N Hansen. I'm 18 years old.
First and foremost I’m a very open and kind hearted person who usually handles things calmly and efficiently. I am the kind of person who sticks with a decision until the end, and not give up when it comes to problems or challenges along the way.
At the moment I am still residing with my parents.
Considering that I have had a pretty rough childhood, it hasn’t removed the positive light that is still in me. I’m a simple man in my 18’s with my dreams in the clouds. I’m still studying and dedicated to get any games i make ready for publishing. It’s always been my dream to have my own company, where I can produce games that other people can enjoy. I believe that games provide some amazing talents throughout a variety of subjects like language, culture, mathematical abilities and psychological capabilities. 😄
👋 Helloooo! I'm Shelly "Queen Spükee" Stewart. I'm 28, recently graduated from an associates degree at a community College studying the ever so vauge "Computer Art" program. I'm am amature developer aspiring to become a Triple I studio. I've designed, illustrated, and programmed three very simple games using the dead language, Actionscript 3 (I didn't have a choice) and looking to learn more practical engines, code and a better pipeline. I have a workbook that had 4 classic games for me to construct, I also want to be apart of a community that I can reach out to ask question and get some feedback.
hello Im roxy 24 year old animation senior who dabbles in game design
hey all. I'm learning the basics of unity through mostly youtube tutorials and atm I'm stuck on something, probably pretty minor. Any help would be appreciated.
@distant swan what you stuck out
Basically I made a Canvas with a UI, a dialogue box with buttons and text. They show up in my 2D game but the problem is they follow the player. I tried to change the canvas renderer from overlay to world view but then the UI is too big. I made my background and player huge to match it and finally it doesn't follow the player but I'm worried this will affect performance plus I have to stretch out the background. Sorry if this is confusing
Are UI in Overlay meant to follow the player? I basically want my dialogue box and buttons to not follow the player and also look good. I've tried everything I can think of, assigned different cameras, only thing that works is making everything big like I said.
This is the tutorial I followed: https://youtu.be/_nRzoTzeyxU
Let’s make a Dialogue System that you can easily tweak to suit your game! ● Listen to the Podcast: http://bit.ly/2un4o0m ● Download the Project: http://bit.l...
@distant swan if you have a specific question you may wanna ask it in #💻┃unity-talk or #💻┃code-beginner. This channel is for introductions and has slow mode enabled so you'll only be able to send a message every 2 minutes
Ok thank you
Yo yo. I'm Dante Marinucci and I am an aspiring indie game dev. I just wanna have a good time and make friends along the way while I make some sick games.

Hi all, I'm Aaron and I'm from Germany. I've been making games with Godot for about two years and now I want to get a game dev job in my home town. For that I gotta learn Unity, cuz that's what they want. So, here I am! :D
I've been in this Discord for quite a bit and never introduced myself. So, here we are. Basically, I'm a teen with a dream. I've always been interested in creating worlds, stories, creatures, all of these things I could do in game development. As well as make things interactive and allow people to create stories of their own. I've always been fascinated with the idea of creating my own interactive world, of course I lack knowledge, but I have my aspirations and ideas keeping me going. It's a difficult road, but I'm hoping that one day in the future, I could truly get started on my journey to becoming a developer.
I'm New Student Who Came Here To Learn More About Unity
I have never done any programming ever so im here
I make music and games. Right now I'm working on a remake of the beta 24 colossi version of Shadow of the Colossus, a NFSMW remake and a fan-made Halo game at the same time.

Hey, there. My name is Tozaku, and I am a British game developer currently working on two games, while also battling with school, homework, and procrastination. I also work on UI, Game Design, and starting to get into music, 3D Modeling and animation so I can create projects with only my assets.
Hi guys, I'm Adam. I work for a small company in Ireland working on immersive projects for tourism and advanced manufacturing (yea, apparently there is a market there). Been working in Unity for about 5 years now even though i don't get to work on games anymore, not that i'm unhappy with that. I'm a software engineer and immersive consultant by trade and i'll be hanging out here through my work days for procrastination.
Hello, dear Unity Community!
I am a German Student and have been learning blender at home, because I wanted to know how 3d designing works.
Now I got pretty experienced with that and also got into programming, so I'll start with Unity to combine all that, and I'm generally really interested in making games!
I hope I can find help with little bugging questions in this server and I'll already thank the people helping me.
Hello everyone. =)
I'm a software developer from Israel, relatively new to Unity but I do have experience in programming.
I recently start working on a small game with my artist girlfriend, just the two of us, and while I prefer solving problems on my own, I imagine I'll be asking things around here every now and then.
And, of course, offering my own help if and when I can.
Hi everyone, my name is Trevor and I’m 25. I’m a software developer (web and mobile) and have wanted to make games since I was a kid. Starting to make the leap recently and am learning unity. Starting with programming and will eventually branch into the graphics/modeling side of things down the road.
Hello! My name is Luis, im from Mexico. I have always wanted to create my own little world, and I am finally able to make that dream come true! I mainly compose orchestral music and have experience with programming, if anyone needs some help producing music for a small project don’t hesitate to write a DM! I would be absolutely happy to help! Hope to meet all of you down the road as well as help as much as possible.
Hi, I'm Niko and I have no idea what the F$%# I'm doing... I'm still quite noob at 3D modeling, and only started seriously getting into digital art about 6 months ago. and while working on this hand, which is honestly driving me insane. I took a screenshot of my progress to show a programmer I'm working with, and the screenshot's auto generated name really encapsulates my current suffering.
One thing I would like to point out first, I add a number to the end of a new save if I have lost all direction and hope and I'm going to try something which may destroy everything because I don't know what else to do.

Note the filename:
Blender* [F:\Blender models\Hand5.blend (Recovered)]
So lets break this down,
-Obviously I'm working in blender.
-Now, notice the file is numbered '5' which means I'm 5 levels of "F#$% my life" deep so far.
-Now you may think that's bad as is... but it gets worse, note the (Recovered) that means my blender just crashed and i had to reload an older autosave...
Hello, I'm Niko and thanks to this hand I'm an alcoholic now...
@calm lantern Try asking in the "3d" channel.
I think that was just their creative introduction. 😛 Sorry for your loss @calm lantern 😩

Hi, I'm a programming Student at Breda University of Applied Sciences, I'm currently working on a VR project with non-Euclidian spaces.
Hi! My name is Devin. And I am just a 14 year old middle school student that lives in a small town.
I currently am taking the middle school version of computer science.
I have a lot of experience in HTML and CSS, but that does not mean I am the best ever.
I thought I would try and get into mobile game development so that I can bring the entertainment to the people, without having to much at all. I also plan on making some type of simple PC games.
And since this is my first time ever making games and ever using C#, so I will have a lot of dumb questions. Thanks for everyone that helps ahead of time!

Hello, I am Tuki. I am 16 and I love programming, especially making games on Unity with C#. I made a rhythm game (Tuki Mania) and I am currently working on TTM (2D platformer puzzle game).
G'Day Everyone, Daniel here. Turning 40 in a couple of months. Coded in basic back on my C64, VB 20 years ago in high school, learnt some php, but never classed myself a programmer, more a 'hack'. Spent about a year (slowly) trying to work out which Game Engine to commit to, made my mind up when I found out my son will be using Unity at school. Thought the best way to learn was to jump in a create a game.. I came with with what I think is a unique puzzle game and after prototyping it on paper, I had a digital prototype over a weekend. I've since started that project about 5 times now, each time refining and optimising it as I learn new things. Whilst I'm still learning and that game evolves, I started coding 'classic' games, to expand my knowledge in Unity/C#, so last week I coded a 'pong' and a 'snake' game from scratch. Current goal - to sell at least one copy of a game in the next year. Thanks for reading!
Hey! I'm Noé, a random wannabe game developper guy. I did a couple jams in the past, learnt everything about Unity and gamedev in general by myself. Also, I'm obsessed with good practices and design patterns beyond any reason. And now I'm trying to get myself out of the crazy refactor-loop I'm currently stuck in, and bring my first game all the way up to release state (a turn based, rogue inspired, shoot them up). I won't lie: I'm here cuz I might need some advices at some point... 😄
Hey guys! I'm Puffer McSparkleFace and i've been fascinated with game design since forever, but have only started making serious strides recently. Currently working on a tactical rpg based on a D&D campaign but haven't yet planned anything beyond that. No experience with unity or coding (or really anything else for that matter), but I am super excited to learn from a bunch of like minded game devs!
Hi I'm Loostrom, I am a 15 soon 16 year old musician tha's interested in making games and programming. I started in scratch when i was 10, i moved to using godot engine two years ago but i recently decided to start using unity since it suits my workflow better and i am therefor kinda new to coding in C#. I can help out with the problem solving part of programming but i need help with the coding part. If anyone want's to collab then i am open to work with pretty anyone, i speak english, german and swedish so conversing in one of those languages would be amazing and i love 2d games. I love animation, light/shader desing and the desing process of game making an I am excited to learn and work with some other devs.
Think I've already introduced myself but I'm a guy making a SOTC beta remake in Unity. It's pretty cool.
Hey there, i basically intent to go full time contributing assets to the unity asset store, my first asset will be published soon..
Hello, I'm a new game designer/programmer and working on first prototype. I have experience in C# and unity for about 4 years. I tried the xenko engine for a bit, but found it short for my project. I am working with Unity again and hope to get the prototype soon so I can post on kickstarter for funding and hoping to make the project grow.
Hi, im chilli, and im an absolute dweeb at anything unity or programming related but god damn it if i wont try my best to learn!! in general though im currently a high school student stressing out about uni, and i draw!
Hello, I am a solo developer that is using the aid of contractors to create my first title, Aurigan Knights. The game is almost in Alpha and I would love for anyone interested in 3D Roguelike games to inquire about my project. I'll be taking on private testers starting at the end of this year.
I am self taught and have been using Unity for almost 2 years. I do everything I can and let better minds do the rest. Feel free to reach out if you need some paid intermediate programming, I'd love to flex my code muscles where possible. Thank you.
Edit: I'm concerned my "taking on private testers" might be misleading >> this isn't a paid job. I can't afford it. But approved testers that stick with the project will get a copy of the game on release.
I’m learning stuff, ok with Visual Basic but not extremely familiar with unity the stuff included
Learning unity and C#.

I'm Simon, and I'm a pro unity developer, started in C++ 10 years ago and then with Unity 3.2 in my first job! I'm currently working on making an enterprise toolset/framework for a big mobile developer&publisher in Unity. Made a game or two on the side (; I specialize in application's architecture, now drifting a bit into webservices. In my spare time I DM in a DnD game and play too much of Rimworld (;
I am super happy for people from Unite introducing me to Discord, hope to stay bit more in touch with news in Unity. If any of u would want to ask a q or chat about coding in general, don't hesitate to dm me. ❤

Hey, I'm toast! I want to tell a crime-noir story by using a stealth-action videogame as a medium! I don't have any money income as I'm a student at the moment so I will just be messing around with ideas, but eventually I want to release it. The only experience I have is a small bit of html and javascript, so the reason I'm here is to ask for help with any issues I might run accross.
I am completely new to Unity, and I have never done game development before. I chose this engineer over Unreal Engine 4 because it has a nicer UI, and a humble bundle package I purchased came with books, guides, and software that can help me develop games.
guys could check out my work here https://connect.unity.com/u/dee-shaw
Hi! Phillip here, 26. Degree in games.

Hey all! My name is Scott. I’m actually trying to get into game making using Unity by starting with an existing franchise. The project itself is something I’ve wanted to get to making since high school, but did not have a personal computer at the time. I have a laptop now that I can run Unity on depending on visual settings, but am saving to build a gaming rig to better handle graphics.
I am actually looking for experienced programmers who could potentially be interested in helping making my project a reality. Looking forward to making friends and meeting potential collaborators!
Hihi, FriedChicken here! Im a Software Engineer and joining this chat server in hope to learn how to use unity and also reverse engineer games as a hobby. Nice to meet you all! 😁
Welcome newcomers ❤
Hi guys, i'm osdon, a beginner C# programmer and looking toward having some friends who are interested in unity and discovering how things are going
Hi guys, YeetMaster1 here, I am a Digital Arts and Sciences major (at my school its a combination of Game Design/Development, 3d/2d animation, and film production), and am minoring in Computer Science. I'm actually developing a top down RPG for my Game Design class and am in the pre-writing stages of my "dream" game - an isometric real-time CRPG (in the style of 1990s RPGs such as Fallout 1/2 except without the point-and-click movement).
My strengths are programming and to a lesser extent art, but I am weaker at narrative writing so would love to hear some tips on writing compelling stories and or need a good writer!
Hi Im Enchanted. I have always wanted to code and just starting. Looking foward in the future to possibly being apart of game jams and just get better at code in general. Hoping to meet friends along the way
Hey everyone! I'm Nairu, and I'm a professional C++ developer that likes to make games in his spare time using Unity!

Hi. My main project (which i intend to work on for the rest of my life) is a 90s style FPS i call Paramancer. I solved the problems of playing such intense action games in VR without motion sickness (even pancake 3D games cause it in SOME people), and without shrinking your FOV (a.k.a vignetting/virtual-eye-squinting/blackbarring). It's something that could be used by just about any 1st person game as well.
Hi there! My name is Mi'Angel and i have been using Unity for a few years (: I have a youtube channel where I post game dev tutorials. I have tons of projects saved that are not yet public but will be when I upload them to YouTube. Here is my channel (:
