The box on the top right of my screen shows the wrong Mesozoic Valley rank, it says '23' even though I'm on rank 45.

It's a bigger bug than that. If you notice in the bottom left corner, you'll see a weird nanobots icon. You have to close the game and reopen.

I think it's been reported before.

Also, when you're getting this bug, the background goes away too.
