Mesozoic Valley hardcore prestige

Trait multipliers

it calculates the effect of additional trait levels on the total production and combines that information with the geode drop rate scaling and income decreases over multiple levels.
Ofc the geode drop and production decrease scaling can also be modified and you can select if you want to go with the option to reset rares and/or epics on prestige.

The "Total production:" column basically tells you what percentage of the production players would on average get compared to a "normal" run without any modifiers.
On hardcore prestige 1-10
so this basically shows that with the settings initially proposed in the suggestion (ofc with halved production on every reset cause -50% only once was kind of ridiculous) the first 4 hardcore resets would actually be faster then the first while the ones coming afterwards become increasingly harder
up until the point where the average production would be 10x slower on prestige 10
a setup that i think works much better and has a very nice difficulty scaling would be this:
Common traits getting reset on normal prestige and rares getting reset on hardcore would follow the theme pretty nicely and people dont feel like they start from 0 every time. The 1.25x geode drop multiplier on every hardcore prestige would only slightly fall behind the production decrease and create a nice difficulty curve

Yeah, if i think about it more then that -50% of production only once would be too easy
And we wanted to do something similar to prestige, that would become easier and easier, but your setup is better than ours i think
Only rare reset is a good idea in this situation because epic will give a little boost that will help at the beginning
You can try your own values and maybe balance something that gets easier over time
would this give you more boost to primary sim?

Well, actually i think that your setup is better
tbh i dont know if its realistic to have a lot more then just the increasing multiplier to the main simulation

i mean it doesnt really need more
more meso means you get more stone geodes
means that you are getting more darwinium
but the primary sim extra boost would be enough
maybe even double what the normal would give
so a rank gives 0.2x instead of 0.1x
we would end up with a 1k muliplier then
it should be like going from meso 0 to 550 but a little less
why? its a reasonable enough trade-off
takes a ton of time and gives a ton of rewards

That's why at the beginning of my and mortis suggestion is written "how to make meso a true hell"
But you would get multiplier from it! (and maybe roles in the server if this would be added)
Until that point you will have the entire main sim done anyway

I mean all these are really good in concept but do you really everyone in the c2s userbase would play all of them
Personally I feel like just a multiplier doesnt make me motivated enough to grind the whole process 10 times

and you guys need to realise that there's only so much the devs can focus on one time, they'll eventually come back to the main stimulations when they're done with the explorations
It will be hard to add something that end game players wouldn't unlock in few minutes
Exactly, thats why it takes time to brainstorm what numbers will be just right for the game
Beyond/explorations dont have this issue because they're currently seperated from the whole main stimulation
but if you have any ideas by which metabits can be reasonably utilised/gained from those stimulations then I'm open to hear them

That's true that people wouldn't play hardcore Meso, because 10 prestiges are already boring
But... It could be added to Main sim, something like hard reset, and a new currency that you would get, based on how much metabits you got, like 1T metabits would be 1 of that new currency, there would be a whole tree of upgrades that would boost simulation
But then, they would need to add some special things that would unlocks after that hard reset, because people, just like for meso, wouldn't try it
They will focus on civilization gardens and later on astronomy, that i think will be unlocked by progressing in beyond, but most end game people have beyond fully finished

Logits could be used for a small boosts to each simulations
Like, 1% boost for meso - 10 logits and it would increase a bit after each upgrade

So for 1% boost in all 3 simulation you would need to spend 30 logits, and it would increase each upgrade
Then it's really worth that 100 logits
I'll ask about changing the wording internally
It would be helpful because trait warm climate give 1.5x boost on first prestige, but that's only 50%

Even if the devs liked the idea they probably wouldn't add it because of the Community backlash, the orginial 10 prestiges are hell anyway, why would you need more?

I have emailed about this long ago but they haven't done anything yet cuz they're focusing on other
They could add a "idle machine" that could play mezo after first prestige so players wouldn't have to endure that hell as much
You could spend metabits to make it better
it would be enough if they added mass collection of geodes from missions and added another buying option similar to "Rank" in the beyond that buys just enough for the corresponding mission target
IMO I just either want a way to make the pain go faster or new content so it's intersting

It's the same problem with presitge, you don't have to complete it but it induces a sense of rage or jealousy when you see other players complete it

Mezo is so slow that spending darwimium on time flux is worthless
I did it once and it didn't really make any big contributions
Last 5 ranks on prestige 10 was fast, not really fast, but i finished them in a half a hour

there are 25 dinos that each take 1 rank

After you get to rank 50 prestige 10, there would be a new button "Hardcore" or something like that
This would reset your meso fully (without gold traits) and you would have increased drop from geodes for this

So in total you would need to beat 110 prestiges (since your first run is Hardcore 0)

Maybe every hardcore(hc) prestige give u 1 token and can use the token to buy upgrades eg. Faster production, x2 fossils generate, or 50%cheaper Or a more op upgrade that use 10 token to upgrade: half price on mesozoic valley and main sim
Instead of this, we should add card balancing to the game.
Make card cost roof less to actually make it possible to reach card level 20.
The current roof is at 13 and each one costs 400k metabits and 10k cards needed for one upgrade
The roof should be at 10 to make it possible, but difficult.
We should also add other ways to get rare and epic cards, since they really really dont boost much.
At least for how much they cost.
