To get to beta you need to send a message with your play account address to the account Cells Beta.
I'm not sure if I can recommend it atm though. I got my beta update today and the only thing that changed is the rock that appeared. But no Dinos.
My friend who is still on non-beta and my newly downloaded steam game both don't have the rock.

Hey so I followed the link you gave me and accepted it. Just waiting the 24 hour period. But question in the cells game under the menu tab it now says early access but I've been logged out of my google play games account and it now has the link button available but when clicked it returns a error screen saying login failed due to network connection.

I'm done until idle is sorted. Spent a full day trying to get 225 sauropoda, and still 26 off, and until I get feathers the situation isn't going to get better, and it really really won't get better until idle works reliably (turning off your phone while game is active doesn't always work and I will not leave my screen in low brightness with game lock on all night)
Feathers needs to be pushed at x level, you cannot have players in high 20s without it and some in low 20s with it (if what I'm reading is correct).

Yeah it is in beta after all. @civic tiger it is like people forget that. I think the idle has problems because it's trying to run two different idles (regular simulation and dino)

That is the point though - how can anyone successfully test it, without cheating, if they can't advance past a certain level?
This isn't something small; idle earning is what makes the game possible.
Noone is bitching and whining like a 4 year old - people want to play the game and do a thorough beta test which isn't possible when a feature as important as this one is missing from day one. This problem should have been anticipated and worked on long before level tweaking. Level tweaking won't become truly apparent until people hit the levels and report issues. Idle issue has been reported since day 1.

p3eph. Have you perhaps thought that they are excluding an idle gain function until the full release? They want people to test the base game and see how they need to improve active gain first while also fixing major bugs so having people not interacting with it is stupid. Clearly the devs know how to build a idle function and make it fair already so there is little need to test it again. And cdvbout that’s what they dont want people to do. Cheating doesn’t find bugs. Cheating lets people avoid major parts of the game and could leave serious flaws in the system

That may be the case, but noone will interact with it if they can't do anything. The only way I can actively gain is literally leaving my screen on all day, not using my phone for any other purpose so the beta test will only go so far. To get to further levels, people will cheat to earn enough to progress. You can make the levels easier to progress through, but it will still rely on running in the background to earn anything. The levels could be made more difficult (and needing fewer tweaks) if idle was implemented now, allowing for a more realistic way of playing. If idle worked, I would have finished my task and gone onto further levels. I can't finish my task because active earning isn't high enough, hence the need for idle income.
Sure, the level I'm in could be tweaked so I can complete it on purely active earning, but then they'd need to be retweaked when idle was eventually implemented to make the game harder to progress through.
Even getting feathers might help me progress, but that's an epic trait that appears to come completely randomly?

It's hard to really test as sometimes the game will stay open in the background and will generate idle, other times it will completely close and the green loading screen will appear when bringing the game back into focus, thus losing any idle income earned before the game closed down.
Anecdotally, I can generate around 1sx in a few minutes active playing however I've just loaded the game having had it in the background all day and earned 800qa (yes, qa, not qi) so it seems to only be taking it from when the primary simulation starts up in those situations.

@worn flax idle only works to an extent for me. I just brought the game into the foreground for first time in 4 hours - loading screen and therefore no idle. Its ways worked in the background assuming the game doesn't close down itself. If it does, no idle. I don't close it, only ever drop it to background.
If the game is active and I shut the screen off, it'll stay that way and earn idle.
Something is causing the game to close when it's in the background, it's completely random hoe long - I've opened it, claimed geode or something, looked at email, brought the game back and loading screen.

I'm actually getting offline earnings in both normal and beta now that I figured out tapping on the dino picture starts the production cycle like most idle games. As stated by others, you have to reset to get and upgrade traits to have autoproduction.
I fixed my issues with the app crashing by installing beta, uninstalling, going into my Google play library and updating the main app. Then I was able to run it in the beta without crashing. Posting the info in case it helps someone else.

Just tried something - it seems to be income generated in a certain amount of time before game closes - mine was within 5 seconds. I waited will a Dino finished, watched a jump of 500qi, closed game and that 500qi was missing.
I just waited 10 seconds after earning 500qi, and it saved it properly. Seems not to be saving the increases quickly enough.

I'd check biology, but plants come from monocellular algae, which are prokaryote cells, IIRC
blue algae and red algae predate green algae, which developed the clorophyla and photosinthesis

Sooooo I have been playing beta for a couple weeks or so and may or may not have utilized some less than legitimate means to expedite my Dino process (mostly because I wanted to see what all was going to be included species wise) and have wayyyy more upgrades than I should have. Those methods I used have since been patched (Thankfully) but I too am seeing an incredibly low production rate now and to complete missions will take eons at this rate even with 2x boost. I was wondering if there were any plans to include a more useful tap mechanic in dinosaurs similar to the regular simulation.

To illustrate how crazy the values have gotten (and my exploitation) I have level 10 feathers and 1 spinosaurus, of which I need 8 more, would cost roughly 38 Oc. My highest producer is roughly 34 Sx/s so I believe the values to be incredibly out of whack.

hey guys, for everyone at rank 32- that's currently the last mission which is why the number are so high
we're planning to add an ending note/achievement to let players know they've reached the end of the playable content, as well as adding additional missions past rank 32
we've made some pretty major changes to mutagen/card/mission tuning, so if you were in the middle of a playthrough, your cards may be somewhat out of balance
the tuning overall should be much better overall now though for new players coming in

When I come back after a few hours it logs me into the main game and tells me how much I earned while I was away. When I move into the dino area it says I was away for 0 min and it earned me nothing for the hours I was away is there a way to get both offline earnings?

So from what I have read on here, you need to break the rock to get dinosaurs, and there was a way to skip the rock in the beta, but it stopped working once the rock was rolled out to everyone, so now even beta people can't get dinosaurs, unless they already had them. Hey guys, I'm got to Singularity (but have clicked😃) and trying to stack up as much Ent & Idea points before doing so. However, it's really slow (I've been tapping) to accumulate over time to finish out all levels of Civs. Is that what is expected? A few things I came across in the Dino Beta:
- I accidently clicked the Dino Juice thing and it wasn't working. Then when I tried to exit the screen it wouldn't let me. Hitting esc only caused it to darken. This was back when I was level 1 in the dino.
- On level 5 I had some geode/level progression weirdness. I clicked a geode and got nothing, and it counted towards the counter. But then there was an extra geode task when it was ready for the extinction event. I did the task and continued from there.
- I don't think this is really an issue personally, but FPS drops to less than 30 when the window is open behind another.
I am a bit concerned with the Upgrade Trait task, but otherwise this seems to be working relatively well. It would be nice if there was a bit of explanation on how it works. I didn't realize for quite some time that you had to activate each dino for their contribution.

The number on top is your contribution of clicks to the rock and the bottom number is global progress. Since it was posted in announcements yesterday I'm guessing rock was released for the regular version.
When I had rock on beta it showed the same number for both individual and global progress

Did anyone else get stuck on Level 8 of the dinosaurs? I've had the game open all day now and I'm at 9/10 goals completed. I Need 77B for my 80th Pterosaur, and I'm only producing 1B every few minutes or so. Prior to this the levels were going by at a decent rate.

Hi Folks, I need your help to you to check out the latest Android beta 3.35 and check that their our no Major bug in the main game and the dinos. It the build is OK i'll send this hotfix patch to public players in the morning.
