I'm level 16 and agree, it has completely slowed down - the tasks seem to be just out of reach for completion.
Doesn't help that when the game is in the background it just closes sometimes, so it's not even earning much that way (I earned 5qi in 12 hours overnight...).
The fun has been sucked out now. Its hard to earn upgrades without watching ads, but as someone else said the rewards end up being completely disproportionate to what's needed that there's little point in doing that now.

Agreed, I made it to 14, and it requires hours of time online to make any of these tasks. @viral dragon you have a lot of balancing to do. A game like this isn't interesting enough to spend hours. I doubt you're gonna trick people into paying once they realize how it works currently.
You need to keep things just barely out of range and at the beginning, the ad watching made a difference. It's the scalability that is failing.

Counting mismatch between Archosaur in list and task - had this quite a few times with different Dino's - annoyingly the Task count is always lower... Also sometimes complete a task and the counter (8/10 etc) doesn't change.

@violet thistle it probably is that, but when combined when the other issue I had of it not updating the task after gaining x number of dinosaurs, I have to exit the game then go back in. Very frustrating if you were only a couple off completing the task, and the second time it happened it disappeared and gave me 3 new tasks to complete.
The way the game works means that I might complete the level and not actually get a reward for completing a task because I had to exit the game when that task didn't update, meaning it takes 1 more task to finish the level - if you get what I mean?

I've had the same type of issue with the numbers of the dinos I've got being off in the asteroid count same as Odiedog13 and Eagle98. I've been off multiple times on various dinosaurs on different valley levels starting after level 7 of my valley. Usually by 10-15. I'll try to pay attention as to if there's more pattern to it

Further to the issues I had earlier, I updated to 3.11 between levels. After I upgraded, I activated the meteor, and when it started again the same tasks that were there in the previous level were showing - even the number of dinosaurs I had completed to which it wouldn't add any new dinosaurs.
I had to exit game completely to refresh the list with new tasks.
Ill see what happens when I next level up.

New version appears to be borked. Background earning in dinosaurs doesn't work, so the tasks above will take weeks to complete. Two ways I could have got round it would be to either restart, but they've removed that option, or watch lots of ads for stone geodes to get more traits buuuuuut they've removed that as well. Basically feels like an attempt to push players into buying Darwinium as the only way to advance.

@maiden mirage Exactly right. It's very frustrating. The only way to advance is let the game run in the background. Which is obviously not feasible.
If you notice, both goals are identical. Get the Triceratops to 150. But only one is accurately reflecting the number I own. The duplicates happen occasionally, but the inaccurate reporting is common. I think it happens when I buy in bulk

Well, the last update took away even the option to speed things up by watching ads. Tapping once or twice every few minutes is all we can do in the game now?
@manic dome, all geodes give valuable stuff. That said, waiting for the last task to complete too often takes too long. Skipped quite a few not to keep the game running for hours (offline progress is usually a few seconds' worth of shells.)

Not here. Doesn't matter for me if I'm on dinosaurs or primary, if I close the game or background it, no idle benefits. Which basically means I'm going to stop playing, as it's going to take weeks for me to get the next asteroid to progress to next level.

I get idle randomly. Even with game in foreground when my screen is turned off it can sometimes close - length of time is also random. I've stopped playing now because it's just impossible to progress with the task levels needed.

@winged tusk no it’s not, I’ve unlocked Iguanodon after that. Not sure if it's the last one but the missions are next to impossible now even harder than 250 martian cities because we can't use the meteor without clearing enough missions
For you people having trouble getting dinos you need to tap the egg on the upgrade window after joining the beta, it doesn't show in the list you need to look for it in the upgrade tree

Ok, since Iast commented, the pacing is much better, but having these green quests that are blocked by really hard quests for more advanced dinosaurs doesn't make sense
I'm on r19 and and finally finished Sauropods, and opened up a Plesiosaur quest, that doesn't make any sense
Sometimes it feels like the offline or background accumulation is way higher than expected, but I couldn't reproduce anything
And then the geodes, I like the new idea of a free geode every 4hrs, but it's not working properly. Sometimes reopening the app resets the timer back to 4hrs
Getting the gold bordered upgrades helped a lot with the pacing
I think the main thing now is planning the order of quests better or give access to all of them in a separate menu

So, im on the IOS beta, and despite the update to fix some stuff, a terrible bug still slipped by, that being, that the game still counts dinos incorrectly for quests so now im kinda stuck due to a bug, here’s a picture of it. Pay attention to the sauropoda. As i have enough for the quest, But its counting 10 dinos behind my actual ammount in the quest, thus, halting progression.
Also the offline earnings are broken, i could be offline for 12 hours and only earn 630 trillion, despite my earnings being over a quadrillion per second, however, sometimes this bug occurs, other times it doesn’t. Annoying nonetheless.
Its counting this wrong too. Just as with the sauropoda.

@viral dragon thanks for the update. First thing I discovered when trying to increase my boost time by a 4hr chunck is that after watching the as the timer only increases by 1hr, not 4.

And if ad is played from the dino part, it's 2 hours. This, or the first attempt to watch an ad succeeded after all. Count mismatch in task panels seems to be gone. Instead, buy max mode has been broken to the point it's almost unusable. Description windows still shows bigger (by an order of magnitude) wait times than the corresponding progress meters. Overall, the game became even slower, almost every dino purchase takes seconds to complete. And dino heads' polygons look quite ugly up close. Will check offline timing in a few hours, but already got a bad feeling about it.

Watching ads, on the other hand, is now pointless. Guess you knew it when removing any way to close the dino juice window without watching one. Well, there's always the option to close the game altogether, and some would even uninstall it being treated like that. Jees, it's a couple of minutes of the player's life you're bargaining about! Give some value in return or at least allow them to refuse.

So it wasn't a glitch to get double income. They reduced the time to 1 hour per ad. And the dino is different from the regular simulation timer. Fuck this.

why did dinosaurs fossil collection get decimated after the update?
I can't buy any X1 dinosaur
an archeeopteryx costs around 32 Sx? and I can only collect like 100 Qi every few minutes
and I still have more than twenty archeopteryx to buy to reach a geode goal

Yo to all new alpha/ beta testers I highly recommend completing every geode before bringing the asteroid as after level 20 the numbers shoot way up and without feathers they take like a day to fill out
Also if you leave the app open on your screen then hit the lock button when you go to bed (with your phone charging) it'll accumulate the idle time. It's the only way I've found to get huge gains of fossils. Have to be in dino mode though, haven't tried with the orginal sim being open yet

I've restarted the simulation twice since entering the beta, but still cannot go down the dino path, how do I unlock it?
When saying reset should work, do you mean to delete the save? There is no "reset" option, only restart simulation in the main game. Or delete save in the menu.

Well, tried that, and now it closes immediately after opening and wont run. I'm running a galaxy s9+, if that helps with troubleshooting.
