How to avoid a forced Beyond jump for beta updates not affecting the Beyond

1. Update your game to the new beta version.
2. Upload your current save on the game transfer menu.
3. Enter the beyond, triggering the jump.
4. Download your save from step 2.
   You will now be able to enter the Beyond without a forced jump.

Thanks ... one feedback that I have on the leaderboard race feature (as tested during the Tea event) is that I was unable to understand the cohort creation - I saw that the cohort included players who were in different Tiers. My understanding was that the cohorts would be created using players in the same Tier. Is my understanding incorrect?

currently right now the research races are not tier based. In the future we would love to make it so that players in similar tiers / similar amount of badges for that event are put in the same research race

Thanks ... then I would like to make a suggestion (maybe the devs can look into it). The cohort rank seems to be fluid .... I ended up with Rank #3, but then as other players completed my reported rank slipped to #7 and when I continued playing (just adding more generators), I went up to Rank #5. I am not sure how many logits the person who ended up with Rank #3 finally got .. so there seems to be some work that needs to be done to fix that fluid rank in the cohort.

Agreed, that is definitely an option .... that will incentivise people to continue playing the game for the whole duration 🙂 I usually stop playing once I finish all the objectives 🙂 one option would be to store the player generation rate when the game finishes and any further increments will not change the stored generation rate (when the player completes all the objectives). So, it becomes fair for everyone in my opinion.

In the case that I described above, the person who ended up in Rank #3 at the end of the event should have received the logits allocated for the #3 rank holder as the generation rate was being used for determining the rank. The time to completion is of no consequence as the boosts (ad boosts, prior runs of the event as measured by the badge multiplier boost, etc.) make it difficult to determine actual event completion times 🙂

The speed of completion ("time to reach a specific objective") will not be fair as different people have different boosts as I mentioned in one of my earlier posts. Your second option makes more sense ... but then resource accumulation should stop when the objective is reached and the resource accumulated at the time of reaching the objective should be used as the metric for logit award ...

I'm not a dev (obviously), but let me draw your attention back to when Beyond first came out, and how over-powered the epic cards were, and how they got a very understandable nerf. 😄 I'm confident they will be tweaked, one way or another. Personally, I don't like the division of "Series I" versus "Series II", especially for epic cards - it rubs my fur the wrong way. I would want them to be global.

How would prestige even work? Beyond is WAY slower then Mesozoic Vally and we already have a space exploration card which buffs the celestial bodies from phase 1 for every rank up tho I have no idea why this exist so what if like they give us a new amazing generator for each prestige?

I think Mesozoic Vallys prestige and in fact MV itself should be completely overhauled and tested so it could potentially work for the beyond too

It's actually a bug. I joined the event and then opened the Beyond tab. When I came back to the event, it showed that I had already finished the race. However, it did show that I hadn't completed any of the research achievements and I didn't get any logit prize until I actually finished the race.

Yes, I experienced the giant squid glitch and the idea glitch on beta during testing. I had ended up with around 46.2No metatbits and the devs decided to limit it to 10qi .. and then I spent some of that .. so now I am at 9qi ... the flip side is that because of that glitch my Metabit production had stopped for a long time. I just started seeing some Metabit production over the last few weeks at a very slow rate (it was at 20k/s which increases to 1.5M/s after the devs made some edits to the game).

@dense kraken .. I have been playing for over 2 years and I think before the simulation speed and Metabit production for nerfed, the simulation speed was increasing exponentially. So when the devs adjusted the simulation, the older beta players were left with these Simulation speeds. Do know that for the last 2 reboots that I did, there was no simulation speed increase for me 🙂

Question for the devs - for the Race event I see that the game clock does not stop when one finishes the event. So, other than the rank as displayed there is no record of how long it took for a person to finish the event - but you are calling out the leaderboard the Fastest Researchers in the game 🙂

The issue that I indicated in my earlier post was that the game clock showed a time of around 4 hours and some minutes when I finished the game .... the game clock now shows around 12 hours and some minutes. I would think that for a Fastest Researcher race, one would log the completion time and not let the clock run.

I would like to add a comment onto this. The rankings are strange if it is a race. (At least in this tea event.) People seem to be getting ranked during the race based on how many tea leaves they are producing. The actual tea cup production never seems to get taken into account. So last night, I was #8 in tea leaf production, but I finished the event before the person who was listed as #7. However, the game showed my finishing rank as #8 even though I finished the game in seventh place.

The teacup production does not get factored in I guess ... I think there is no way to allocate the ratio of how much to apportion for each currency type in the overall generation rate in a multi-currency game.

I would also like to provide some general feedback regarding the races. When there has been a race, it has often been at a time when I am not able to see the announcement for it until several hours later. As a result, I find myself at a severe disadvantage in the race. This might not be correct, but I get the feeling that the cohorts are generated relatively soon after the update goes out. I say this because last night, when I started, there were multiple people who had clearly been working on the race for several hours in my cohort. If this indeed the case, the people who can't start until later due to scheduling reasons are at a noticeable disadvantage. I am wondering if there isn't some way to generate the cohorts dynamically as people actually start the race.

I would argue that the correct ratio can be found, it just needs testing. But I agree, it might not be possible to compute a ratio for ranking with two currencies. But finding a correct ratio through experimentation should definitely be possible.

I had suggested one option - does not matter when a person starts the race. If the goal is to determine the fastest Researcher, then the total run time or play time to complete the event should be used to assign the rank in the race. This ties into my note earlier that there is no visual logging of each person's completion time which should help determine who finished the race in the fastest time - ranks being allotted at the completion of the event duration .... my 2c.

Man. I put a lot of effort in 19.90 for the tea run. Worked today. Didn't realize there was going to be another release today mid event. Felt I could make it happen. Not getting anywhere now with only 16 hours to go. Very disappointing

Finished the 19_92 based Tea run .... I see that the Event completion timer issue has been resolved ... it does not keep running even after the event is completed by the player. But as @vague basalt suggested above some details/log of the fixes can be helpful at times as we can keep an eye out for the validity of the intended fixes on the game 🙂

The issue that needs some attention is the player panel - it shows me at the Nerd 1 level, but if I select my profile I get the correct Guru 2 level displayed .. so that is something that might need to be resolved.

Another issue that I see consistently is the RP inconsistency ... if I check my profile in the primary Simulation Leaderboard, then I see a different RP count as compared to what I see in the Exploration event.

I had that bug time without hacking. It hapenned for me when I was only using nanobots to finish event. When I restarted the event, I tried to complete it with only using 1 hour wrap. It was showing about 1 day on final counter.
