Even if you pass the exam for it (when it's actually around the time of a newly released mod article?), you then have to wait a long while for it to be checked since many many people go through the exam. After some time goes by, they kind of like let in a specific batch of people that they've accepted into DMD (the community exclusively for discord moderators that passed the exam and actually got let in), then there's a bit of a point where your exam probably is never checked (which is cause the amount of exams is absolutely insane). Now- if I assume you were part of one of those batches that actually got in luckily, you then need to be a really active and great contributor to the community for long enough for you to be deemed worthy of the badge.
