All I wanted to say is: Shouldn't magnetosphere be the first step to terraforming? The solar wind will strip the atmosphere (I'm unaware of how quickly) so I find it odd to have a magnetosphere's protective properties as one of the later upgrades instead of it being prioritized a bit more.

If you click the bonus and ESC approximately at the same time, they interfere with the 2 menus and the game freezes. (The bonus must give you this menu for this to work)

Beyond Guide

Starting a new stage
Get to your newest celestial bodies as fast as possible. You can always ignore the ones before the last 2-3. Upgrade them as much as possible, at least until you reach the level required for the according mission in the objective tab.

Exiting a stage
Make sure you rank up your celestial bodies as many times as possible to speed up your start of the next stage with the trait upgrades made available by this. Focus on the newest objects.

Missions
Missions must be completed to unlock the next stage. They provide new celestial bodies, Stardust, dwarf stars, Dark Matter and Darwinium on the way. The reward provided is always shown next to the mission goals.
There are 10 mission types, the most frequent ones being:
- upgrading an object to certain rank
- collecting a specified amount of Stardust
There are different types of Stardust missions, for some you have to save up the stardust, others count the total amount you collect. The third type only counts the Stardust you gain from tapping. To complete photo missions switch to the space garden view and select the required planet via the side panel.
While completing missions, focus on the ones that provide new celestial bodies, as those often provide a production boost.

Traits
Always upgrade the rare and epic traits when available.
All common traits should be upgraded to level 3 from the start, as this is the baseline for the first 8 stages. After that you can go for level 4 - level 5 for trans-Neptunian objects and upgrade even further if you got resources left over.

The Shop
The shop gives you options to buy stars and Dark Matter. Only buy supergiant stars, and keep in mind that their content scales with your stage. Getting too many of them early on is not worth it. I recommend getting one every 5 stages. The Dark Matter part of the shop is not needed at any time. If you have an urge to spend Darwinium then buy stars instead.

Ranking up Celestial Bodies
Ranking up a celestial body provides a x3 production boost as well as a small amount of Dark Matter and trait cards related to that object.
Don't underestimate the potential production increase you can gain by ranking up. In some cases the trait upgrades as well as the higher rank of that celestial body stack up a lot. Going from rank 1 to 2, for example, can give as much as x30 production boost.

Boosting
Super Charge: free collectible, increases the production of one celestial body by 4x for 60 sec, can be increased by another 5x to a total of 20x for 1 Darwinium
Asteroid: free collectible, gives Stardust based on your current production.
Research Boost: for 2 Darwinium the speed of all research missions is doubled for 4 hours, if the boost time is over 16 hours the boost is increased to 3x
Spacetime: for 2 Darwinium the speed of all celestial bodies is doubled for 4 hours, if the boost time is over 16 hours the boost is increased to 4x
For mobile users: max out your boosts before going offline to speed up your progress.

Astronomy Missions
Astronomy missions give special rewards: dwarf stars, Dark Matter, as well as discounts for some of your celestial objects.
Extra mission slots are unlocked at stages 4, 8 and 12. One additional slot can also be purchased for 25 Darwinium. Get that as soon as possible.
Prioritize your missions in the following order: special missions, dwarf stars, Dark Matter.

Constellations
Save up your Star Fragments until you can afford what you want and then finish the entire constellation at once.
Focus on Scorpio first, as it provides a bonus to all your celestial bodies.
Gemini is next to increase your astronomy mission speed.
Start saving up for Sagittarius but only get it if you are on stage 11 or before.
Next buy Aquarius. Save up for it but only unlock it if you can afford it on stage 16 or before.
The last constellation you need is Aries. After this, all remaining Star Fragments should be saved up.
