It's basically splitting the speed at which the cores work into other cores, therefore making it if you had that cpu, you could do a lot of games.

Let's say you have 8 cores (on PC), and the games you're playing on an emulator isn't running good, like 20fps, you can go to the emulator settings, use the split core, overclock you maximum speed to 200%, and overclock your cpu to 300%, making it playable at more than the normal resolution, like at 3x, or 4x.

The core splitting is in like 90% of emulators.

@inland berry Yeah, i understand what you're saying, but imagine what will be with people who have no GPU, it will make it so that they can play most of the games, but not all. Let's say Minecraft, you need a GPU that can withstand it, for my PC, i have a processor from 2007 and an intergrated GPU, which makes it so I can't even run Minecraft 1.0 in 30fps. And yes, consoles rarely use emulation, but I'm talking about phones, PC's and laptops, the current best phone is the K30 with Snapdragon 865, and what makes it better than the other phones who do have more ram? The ram speed, basically making it able to process the speed of an actual good pc, right now the K30 can play NS games at 60fps, and the emulator isn't even optimized for the phone.

And also the technology it uses, the phone's cheap, the tech is great, you can play any game, including genshin impact on high at 60fps probably.

And the thing is, it's cooling system allows it to play the games without breaking 40 degrees from what I've seen, but i understand your point, it wouldn't have been able to play those games without it's GPU, which is reasonable, i mean, how are you gonna play BoTW without a GPU at 60fps? The gpu is actually pretty strong, probably stronger than most of the gpu's (of course not the RTX ones...). Still, a phone wouldn't be able to run only on a GPU, a phone needs atleast 2 cores to run smoothly, depending on what phone. Without that, you can't do anything, but the phones do require a processor, a gpu, memory, ram, a chipset....

Ooooo, this channel looks like a place for sad stories, I guess I'll share an epicc tech related story:
One day, I decide to buy new RAM for my PC cause the RAM on my PC was only 8GB 2400MHz, so I buy some noice dual-channel RAM that's 16 GB 3200MHz. Later, when it arrives, I install the new RAM and I happen to figure out that I'm unable to actually use the full potential of 3200MHz due to the crappy CPU I had as well, so I had to buy a new CPU next since my current CPU was only a Ryzen 3 1200. The new one I purchase is the Ryzen 7 3700X, which is very popular among PC builders, but then I come to find out that I actually need to update my motherboard's BIOS so then it could support the 3rd gen CPU, sadly, their BIOS update was utterly useless since it bricked the motherboard, which I was able to reverse the brick but that meant I couldn't use the correct BIOS version meaning I had to also get a new motherboard. I get the TUF GAMING X570-PLUS (WIFI), which is also another highly popular part among PC builders, then once I still everything back in with the new motherboard, nothing would show up on the monitor at all, which lead me to believe that there was something wrong with my GPU cause I had a 1050 TI that uses PCIE 3.0 and the motherboard used PCIE 4.0. Far later I discover that PCIE's are backwards compatible, so that wasn't the real problem but I didn't realize that cause I decided to buy a new GPU, the RX 5700 XT, and yes, I keep buying the most popular AMD parts for PC builders. I get the new part installed and nothing still shows up on the monitor, that's when I realize that the motherboard was being weird because it had a light indicator for DRAM, meaning it's saying that there's something wrong with the RAM, which I knew there wasn't cause it's completely new and just worked, which meant only thing... the motherboard was defective and wasn't working properly at all. And to this day after 4 weeks of working on my PC, I'm still waiting for my replacement.

Also, I didn't get an SSD just cause i didn't really think about if I'll need it... Except for the fact that it would be extremely helpful when it comes to opening and doing things in Visual Studio
