These are constellations, they do need constellation fragments (or you can just call them stars) to give additional boosts. And like the comment on this one, you need to collect all stars for it to work. Such as Rak, which you need 5 more to get it's boosts which I forgot (click on the constellation to see the boost it will give.)

Yes, I also think that someone's activity is quite reduced when he become moderator. Maybe it's because it create a barrier between them and "normal" people even if it's not intentional. For example, someone will be intimidate to speak about random things with a moderator, and being a moderator need some responsibilities so it's more difficult to speak naturally about something.
That's what I think, maybe it's just in my imagination
So a moderator need to act as if he was not a moderator, but act as a moderator when something important (or less important but need a moderator) happen if he want to stay at the same lvl of activity
Other idea, a non mod come to the server because he want, a moderator come to the server because he is a moderator and need to moderate, so he will unconsciously speak less because his relation with the discord server is not the same

- your primary seems like mine, got to the end of the road where any next significant upgrade will be locked behing logits (event rewards). Namely capybara & giant squid from what the advice I got here (working on the squid myself rn)
- ways you can improve until that will be by resetting the simulation for a better speed (if you kept it long enough already), and progressing meso/beyond.
- took me a bit longer to "get" meso than the other modes. I would say the 2 things that clicked and allowed me to progress much faster now are:
- there's 2 stages in meso. Building your economy, then completing objectives. The objectives for the lowest dinos are a real money sink and should really be completed last; start by building up your eco "as much as necessary"
- focus your dino upgrades. Don't waste mutagens on ones that are no longer relevant. Use them to buy better upgrades through the shop
