I'll confess: I wanted to take a look at the event yesterday before it started... but didn't want to mess with my main game - so I started the game on my second phone and it took me only about 2 hours to unlock the event? And I mean 2 hours of "playing casually while watching TV" 😉
Maybe I can answer that 🙂 It took me about 17 hours without autoclicker - but WITH ad boost (and with occasionally tapping the screen for a minute to get an upgrade faster 🤣 ). Also with occasionally being offline for 2 hours if I knew it would take that long to get the next upgrade - really easy to calculate, so...
Guess I could've done it a little faster, "but not that much" - without spending darwinium. TBH, I don't understand why people would spend a lot of darwinium to finish a four-day-event in a few hours... and then be bored again?
Oh yes... that also means if you don't play on mobile and cannot watch ads... it could be really hard to finish the event without spending darwinium. hmm, that s*cks...

I think I finished the entire thing in two or three weeks... so when there's an event, we should enjoy it, not speedrun it. Or well, "speedrun" is fine, I kinda did that... but without just spending money to finish it?!
Also, I'm kinda disappointed by the event - it felt slow (i.e. loooong wait times) and was done fast, and was kinda boring. And the rewards were silly... :/

You have cropped a lot of important information here, but it looks like you already have your rare/epic cards at a decent level, so it's definitely better to wait until 100.
2 medium stars won't help you much.
Also, obviously, buy it only at rank 50 and not before...
Meso gives a lot of darwinium, I think about 100 per prestige or even a little more.
By the time you reach rank 50, you'll probably have 100 anyway...

The important thing: Do NOT only upgrade your latest star, set the "buy quantity" to "rank" and check the efficiency of each "celestial body".
Check how long it would take for the upgrade price to pay off (you have to consider the increase in production you get AND the 3x multiplier from the rank - and possibly new "trait cards" you might get). Compare that to the expected time to finish the the entire rank... if your upgrade pays off faster, do it!
ALSO, you know you can check all the tasks beforehand, right? Don't focus on the tasks at first, focus on your production...

If you play on mobile, you should just boost research and do the missions and collect the Dwarf Stars for a little while.
I may have been lucky with epic cards early on, I don't know. If you have some upgrades, Beyond can be "fast and fun". I liked it a lot better than Meso and was kinda sad when I was done with it. Wish they had prestiges in Beyond instead of Meso 😛

Question - I'm playing on Windows version 11_26 - what happens if we complete the James Webb mini event multiple times? Is the bonus additive? i.e. If we complete it one the Bronze Bonus is + 1% speed, Silver + 2%, and Gold 3% - so does that mean when we complete it do we get 6% speed or just the 3%? Also, if we complete it multiple times, do they add up - i.e. if 6% per completion, the 2nd completion raises the total speed bonus to 12%?
