Really that much? Darwinium to mutagen must be less efficient at getting mutagen than diamond geodes at rank 50, and you get gold cards for that as well

Does anyone know if buying with smart goes high enough to let you see the next upgrade or is it just random, from what I know smart buys to the highest nice round number (ex. I have 135 of something it could show buy 5x and if I had 30 it would show 20x) let’s say I had 100 and could afford 150, why the heck would it say buy 30x, is that when the next upgrade shows on the upgrade tree thing or is that just random cause it doesn’t make sense

Hello all! 🙂 Hope everyone is doing great! LOVING the game so far. I've gotten up to ||Ape|| and over to ||Turtle|| and got 150 of several lower lifeforms (Amino Acids, DNA, the Cells) and many of the upgrades in between...

And counting the Milestone achievements I see 17 more actual lifeforms to unlock, probably hundreds more upgrades in total...

Not even counting the Mesozoic progress 🙂 heh

Yeah this game certainly tickles my completionist gene 🙂 heh.

One issue I do have, which isn't that annoying yet but starting today I have noticed that Steam doesn't correctly detect that the game is closed, and I must restart Steam for that to happen. Cloud saving takes place when the client restarts, so that's all good, but it seems that this is a bug somewhere...

Anyway, besides that, AMAZING game, looking forward to seeing what evolution holds!

i got it within less than a week of starting, but i also finished primary in 4 days, so i assume you need all upgrades in reality engine
i definitelly didnt rely on meso multiplier, but i improved with it ||

Well, I'm deep into the first simulation ||(past the one that crashed, due to the singularity of course)||, and got over 2000 metabits so far (AND COUNTING, offline processing in games rocks! What I'm pretty sure happens, though, is just a mathematical formula (or several) is applied to determine how much the player should be awarded based on how much time passed between sessions). Not resetting until my metabit container gets so big I can't fill it with generators anymore (the meter slows to a crawl), the better to get more upgrades in the Reality Engine when the time comes 🙂

lolio: from my experience cloud saving and loading goes quite smoothly - the only thing is, in order to get to the platform transfer screen, you have to accept the offline reward on the destination platform, then download from the cloud, which will overwrite the just-accepted offline reward. Somewhat confusing but not too bad. (Similarly the daily click rewards are different for each platform which is something I'll need to remember next time I'm on my iPad 🙂 )

Work Dinos (admittedly, this is more brutal on the PC, as you can't get 2x / 4x boosts for Free by watching vids). Each rank of dinos gives you a boost multiplier in the main Sim - and you get certain unlocks (one at Level 15) which can help get you past sticking points that seem impossibly slow.

The other big tips I have that aren't necessarily obvious - you can grab the achievements in the main sim for fairly good boosts of entropy / ideas.

Ah yes - I'm at a similar stage in my computer playthrough (in the app version, I've basically completed everything and started it long ago - but only recently started on Steam - decided to play them separately to enjoy the beginning again.)
Basically the 2 main keys here are to be disciplined with upgrades (for example, most of the Ungulates upgrades are an utter waste of entropy - won't give you any meaningful progress anytime soon - except for the branch off to Cetaceans [one of the top earners at this phase of the game]

2. Be disciplined with resets. You have done many (20 already). I'm nearly at the same general stage as you, but have only done ~12. Resets can help boost progress - but the initially set you back (until you grind back to the same place you were on the tech tree). So you only want to reset when you have about a half hour to play and rebuy everything (it will go faster than in did the first time you get there) - you want to make sure you don't reset and then go offline soon after.

I only reset when I can afford a meaningful upgrade on the Reality engine - or the game tells me the boost will be meaningful (when doing a reboot - it shows you current multiplier > new multiplier on the confirm screen - if that isn't 10 or 20 higher, and you can't afford anything meaningful for metabits, then it isn't time to reboot the sim).

They do - and they even hint at in the game - but initially they hurt you (your metabit earn rate, probably the simplest progress bar to watch - will go way down initially until you regrind though the tech tree - then it will be faster)

Maybe I didn't express what I meant good enough; the distances of the planets are probably to scale of we talk relatively to each other. But considering the size of the planets, there is no way that the current model is to scale. If we look from the perspective of earth, you'd see a huge flaming sun and not the tiny blob we actually see irl.
