Buying Supergiant Stars for Darwinium is the best way, when you have any available.
Beyond that (lol) Keep astronomy research speed maxed, and constantly search for dwarf stars 1, 2 and 3. also watch adds to get dwarf stars every 4 hours.

important question: is it possible to get locked out of progression if you upgrade your traits too much early on?
because I know for both Mesozoic Valley and Beyond you need to upgrade X amount of traits to move past some levels

technically yes, but you always have 3 extra in meso, and you would need to get either 4x with trait or 3x and collect (last, which i get 97% of the time anyway)

but you can wait 30min and buy traits the way i bought above, just i bought with cubes, thats why it wasnt commion

you almost always get offered either half of one you are missing or need to buy once and get half of missing on next. but after MANY tries, i know some you miss just wont show up

@stiff gobletALSO, upgrading traits within same rank will count to trait quest further in, even if you dont see it among 3 available

beyond you can collect quest reward out of order, on the most left tab. but technically i can see how you could lock it, but i never tried to avoid it and it never happened

i can upgrade this 6 more times, im at rank 40 atm, tho higher prestige, so maybe i would have used 2 more upgrades. upgrading below 5th dinosaur from top is never worth it, unless for quest, atm i could upgrade different things over 150 times, i assume. that first one 6 times, and it shows i can upgrade 39 different ones, almost all of them multiple times

Boosts are additive so they get relatively smaller. At rank 50 you have 5x speed for main simulation. Than you do another 50 to just double it. To double again you'll need 100 ranks more.
