Ok, so go to your list of dinos and double tap on the circle with the pic of the compso. It should focus in on the compso on the field. Then just go to the camera icon on the middle left of your screen and when the screen opens up on compso, hit the camera button at the bottom of the screen. It should take the photo and show a check by the objective at the top of the screen.

You don't have to take a "good" pic unless you want to. As long as you capture the right dino, you'll complete the objective.

Consistently upgrade higher tier items before upgrading lower tier items a lot, and try to collect metabits to at least 50% greater than your current simulation level (AKA total metabits collected) or to a point when your metabit collection is becoming too slow to grow anymore.

As of the second one, You need to gain more entropy and ideas to gain more metabits.
Entropy + ideas = metabits. The more entropy and idea you gain, the faster metabits production is, usually after a start of a reboot it will be very slow and almost not produce at all but when you unlock the generators that produce a lot of entropy and idea they will start to slowly increase.
