I recommend doing so, at least on the lower levels. The cards and mutagen are worth it. On the higer levels, you can decide to skip the final collect task, cause it can take very long. But I still recommend trying to get it.

To give you an example of just how long things can take, have a look at this: I recently finished the last other quest, and I still need to collect 237 of 420 Oc. And that at a rate of 1.96 Sp/sec. Meaning it would take me about 33 hours of active/online idling.
In theory I could cut that time down with further upgrades on the dinos. But I first would need to collect or buy the cards (if they pop up in the buy menue) and both the upgrade and buying cards would be expensive.

I suggest to upgrade the the Highest paying dino with card
And i suggest to open mystery trait their is a chance you will get a good amount of epic an rare cards

@sudden python I'm nearly at max level before reset (50) after a couple of weeks with no autoclicker, so you definitely don't need to pay money
Btw mods say autoclicker are fine if you're into that

Does anyone know what art style this game is exactly going for?

Did they do an update overnight? I've been struggling to get all my animals to 250 and trying hard to save enough to buy some attributes that would increase efficiency by 650%. Overnight about 20 attributes for the animals became available which made development actually possible. Until I purchased the 2% increase in tap and the cost of everything went up to DC and e37. Can't make progress again.

These are the animals I was working on getting to 250. Looks like something enabled development of Neoaves, now everything is crazy expensive. My guess is restart simulation to make any progress. It caused my dinosaurs to be equally expensive. Not liking that one bit, as I was struggling to make progress already.
