This event has a pretty clean swap from one currency to the other; once you're done with Notes, you can pretty much focus on Records. Most multi-currency events don't do this, and require you to go back and forth between them, which is much more annoying.
If it's new to you, that's because we've just finished a swath of single-currency events (except the last one, Cheese)

Here's a weird Cells bug I noticed (and reconfirmed today). I have Cells on Steam on 2 computers atm. I can save on #1, copy the save to #2, then copy that save back to #1. #2 gets about 7% more XP, and metabits but especially knowledge progress is higher as well. This is very strange. #1 here is a miniPC (Intel 12th gen mobile), and #2 is my desktop (Intel 12700K), which is faster though Cells plays the same.

FWIW my 3 devices that I have cells on all see the offline time being more than real time and all get x4 offline boost for events. They're not all the same spec (but they are 2 Motorolas and a Lenovo so ... Related?) The lower spec Motorola that's pretty full fairly often crashes out of the game when taking screenshots and ads.

Ok, just tested, fps makes no significant difference (for "decent" fps at least, 60+). It's very odd, since on #2, metabits is 99.8% of #1, but 142% knowledge. XP is 6% higher.

If you are on Android, it should be 6 days. If iOS/iPadOS it could be as soon as today, as late as 6 days, probably sooner than later, though you'd need to go to the Cells page in the App Store (not just the App Store update page) to get the update button before that 6 days is up

If you're not near the new update stuff, you should be fine.

If you log out of cross-platform save on your pc once you've uploaded it your pc save file will be safe from any backwards compatibility issues. If it all goes wrong, you'll only lose progress on your mobile.

The devs consider this to be a live service game with the regular updates that allow endgame players to keep playing.

There’s no single strategy. Playing on mobile to get free-ish boosts is a good one.
Try opening as many red stars as possible, and if you can get them, yellow and blue ones.
To get more Beyond stuff like that, try to get a high position in events.

The only good news is that Red Dwarf (and maybe other lootboxes?) were changed this patch so that the rewards are more evenly distributed -- previously they were weighted heavily towards the end of their range (i.e. Sedna, Planet X, Alpha Centauri. etc.)
