Get through Meso as fast as possible.
You usually want to trigger the asteroid as soon as its available. Waiting to complete that last mission or two is almost never worth it.
Spend that mutagen leveling up the dinos and frequently buying trait cards for 100 mutagen from the store.
Its normal for that first 1-50 to take people a month, just have to power through it. Then the Prestiges go very quick.

I like to update you on something. I haven’t been on much here lately. I felt quite down about my account being beta tagged without any possibility to get out of it and go back to the normal leaderboards.

In the final weeks of the development of the Reality Reboot expansion I decided to join beta to be able to experience it before most other players and earn the shiny beta achievement. It was great, I enjoyed it. I reported some issues that got nicely fixed by the devs.

Then Reality Reboot got released and I moved back to the normal release version of the game and I’ve been playing that ever after.

However, I noticed that I stayed marked as beta player and I kept being in the beta leaderboard. Recently I also learned that beta players on iOS TestFlight have access to unlimited free (Darwinium) store purchases, something that I have no access to as Steam player. And I don’t want access to it because I think that’s lame and not fair towards players on other platforms.

I got a paid Infinity Pass, paid Darwiniums, paid Starter CPU, Idea Accelerator and Beyond Accelerator. I’m at endgame, got almost all achievements, beyond 30, meso prestige 10.

A while ago I asked support ([e-mail]) if they could move me out of the beta leaderboard, and they could not or did not understand. Recently I asked the devs if there is any way I can get rid of the beta tag and get back to the normal leaderboard.

But they said the only way to achieve that is to start all over again… I realized that joining beta was my biggest mistake. In hindsight, joining the beta was a trap, as nice as it was. I did not know it had a separate leaderboard. I did not know I would compete against players with infinite free purchases. I did not know I could never leave.

I’m Too deep into my current game to start over. Not sure if it makes sense to continue as there is little prestige if I compete against players with infinite free purchases.

I don’t want to collect my 222 event badges all over again. That’s the biggest one. My account has 3600 hours on Steam. Many days and nights autoclicking to get to the endgame. Every time the real, current beta players get a new release I drop like a rock in the beta leaderboard and every time the main game gets the content I recover, only to drop again.

Yesterday I found a way to “break” out of the beta myself and did it. I will not tell here how this was done but I explained everything in detail to support by e-mail. Including my player name and ID. So, I’m no longer beta tagged. I haven’t heard anything back from support yet. I don’t know if I will. I don’t know how they will take it.

I am blessed with autism so I lack the ability to meaningfully predict the reactions of others. So I don’t know if they will be happy for me that I found a solution to my issue myself or that they are angry that I broke out via a way I was not supposed to. Or something in between. I got backups of my old savegame which is still in beta in case it is needed.

So, yeah, that’s what I have been feeling and doing. Thank you for reading.

For logits purchases, the non-cosmetic ones largely do the same thing iirc (increase sim speed) just by a different amount for different cost. Easy maths. That said, some do unlock extra nodes - https://cell-to-singularity.fandom.com/wiki/Augmentations_Console#Logits says these are ||Capybara, Fungi, Gorilla, Philosophy||. And if you're actively playing Meso, then the Extinction artifact is useful. You can ignore the Beyond ones unless you want the prettiness (they're largely useless from a gameplay perspective).

Time spent in the side sims/events counts twice for the purposes of the primary sim

So instead of waiting 14 real-time days for your time chambers, you only wait 7 real-time days but the game counts it as 14

I view it as a fair trade-off for the empty sim strat, which prevents you from playing the primary sim at all anyway
Especially because the only reason the empty sim strat exists in the first place is the devs' stubborn insistence on their weird implementation

Some alpha players got a glitch that got them to a research level of thousands. There is no maximum level but the level normally reachable for endgame players is around 83/84 for the current version and a lot higher (90 or more) for the current beta version.
