Human Spark is a unique Reality Engine upgrade, which we can min-max for. This is only possible because of certain factors:
It boosts meta-currency directly (Knowledge rather than Ideas)
It relies on Ideas rather than Entropy, so we can do things before we get too many Knowledge fills
It scales based on Humans, so we have something to min-max
It scales exponentially (1.005^Humans), so it doesn't have diminishing returns (though Knowledge fills do)

So there are various strategies to increase Humans while minimizing Knowledge fills (and then maximizing Knowledge fills after, of course)

While the upgrading of each crystal/chamber is backweighted, it's not that extreme. If you only wait 7d, you're only 2.5x off of waiting 14 days, and you did it in half the time, so you could come out ahead depending on what you can buy.

Really? It should be trivial to get the badges with a 200% boost, and Top 10 shouldn’t be difficult either. Are you playing on Steam with no infinity pass + no temp jump to mobile for the ad boost? That would slow progress in Events down a lot

If you have a phone or a tablet you can install Cells on, you can move the save over via the in-game crossplatform save, get the ad boost for 4x speed, then move the save back over to Steam to play (if that’s your preference). Also autoclickers on Steam are fine to use and can really help sometimes.

New to the game on and on PC and I have a few questions:

1. I saw on Reddit that there is a guide here to spending Darwinium but I looked through the pins and can't find any. For primary sim is Augments -> Modules -> Upgrades a good basic order? And then only the diamond deodes and super stars in meso and beyond in later stages?
2. I see lots of comments about boosting. Am I correct that this is mostly for mobile players and I should not boost on PC since I can't do it with ads?

1: idk if the info online is still valid or not, but “buy the cheapest permanent stuff” is generally the way to go with regards to darwinium. It’s usually pretty self-evident

It’s really worth it for the quick jump and back to mobile for the 4x ad boost. Minor hassle that takes a few minutes that saves you maybe 8 additional hours you’d otherwise have to expend getting the badges.. and ofc to have any hope of Top 10 rewards, that 4x (ad boost or via IP) is basically mandatory.

I mean, on the one hand, mobile seems to have little-to-no downsides. On the other hand, I have pride/stubbornness issues, and since I got this far on steam, I might as well finish on steam.

I play on both iPad and Steam. Usually I’m on Steam when an update drops bc of the delayed release of the mobile version. I top up the time right before that ofc. I also basically always play on Steam + autoclicker when doing and completing an empty sim run, way easier

I think largely we've got to the bottom of that for most. Leave it 10-20 mins and maybe do the first 'mission' (tap for entropy). Seems to work in ~3)4 of the cases.

It takes like 2 minutes tops bc I do it just for events (typically 6, since 4 to get to 16h for 4x boundary, plus 2 more for 4x.. though if I want Top 10 I’ll usually top it up past the end of the event). I will force close any ad that takes longer than 30 seconds, and if i get a 5 second ad, I’ll repeat that as many times as it will let me, since ads often cluster if done in fast succession

So the offline boost, ad boost, badge boost, clickables, nanobots, and manual/auto clicks are not accounted for.
Far too much variance to for useful approximations

As a rough estimate though, since offline time is doubled you could probably just halve the times again.
So you'd finish in 2-2.5h, or about 32x faster than I did at the start

As I see it, the primary uses of the graph are:

1. Comparing events to judge their difficulty/speed relative to other events
2. Comparing the slope of each event to judge the difficulty/speed relative to the rest of that event
3. Estimating the resources (time, darwinium, boosts, etc.) needed to complete an event in the desired time
   Of these, only 3) is really affected by playstyle, since presumably that wouldn't change from event to event for any given player
