Someone a while ago did contact Google and got them to push the saved file through manually.

if you get like top 50 you get pretty good rewards

They're pretty useful for a handful of reasons. It's the only way to get logits, which can buy things that boost or customize your simulations. The badges you get boost both future times you play the exploration and the primary simulation. And if you can rank well on the leaderboards, you can get stuff that helps a lot in the side simulations (Meso and Beyond)
